Michael Smith Check-Raises All In

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

There were still four players in the hand, and the pot had around 6,000 in the middle and the board reading {5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}.

Michael Smith checked from the small blind, and the big blind bet 3,000. The other two players folded, and the action was back on Smith. He scoped out his opponent's stack and counted his own before moving all in for his remaining 12,300 chips. His opponent let out a sigh and shrugged his shoulders before releasing his cards into the muck.

Pot-Limit Omaha

After arriving at the table to see a pile of chips being counted, it happened to be those of Jessica Dawley. The board read {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Dawley's hand was still face up showing {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for a set of tens. The dealer pushed the pot towards Dawley and she stacked her 74,000 plus chips. "I wasn't even going to play this event," Dawley said while she continued piling up her new chips. It would appear she should start planning for a Day 2 of this event with only two levels remaining in the day.

Helppi Keeps Firing

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Juha Helppi raised to 2,000 from early position and was called by four other players. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and the action was checked to Helppi who bet 3,500. The button was the only player to call and they were heads up to the turn.

The {9-Diamonds} came on the turn and Helppi led out for 10,500. His opponent took some time to think before showing {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} face up but mucked the rest of his hand. Helppi finally got everyone out of the way after continuing to bet his hand.
