Babakhanyan Sends Tsoukernik to the Rail

Level 2 : 200/400, 0 ante
Artem Babakhanyan
Artem Babakhanyan

Artem Babakhanyan has disposed of one-time chip leader Leon Tsoukernik, just a level and a half into the day.

We missed the action but Babakhanyan was able to fill us in. The flop came {a-}{10-Clubs}{3-} and Babakhanyan had {a-}{10-}{x-}{x-} with two diamonds. Tsoukernik had flopped a set of threes and a diamond on the river gave Babakhanyan a flush to win the pot and bust Tsoukernik.

Lee Leaves Arieh Short

Level 2 : 200/400, 0 ante

On the turn of a board {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} with more than 70,000 in the middle, Mack Lee checked from early position and Josh Arieh bet 72,000 from the button. Lee gave it some consideration and called before the {9-Clubs} river completed the board.

Both players checked and Lee turned over {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. All Arieh could do was sit there, shrug, and double-check his cards without saying a word. More than half a minute passed and Benjamin Zamani said, "The hand is over, right?"

Arieh shot back with a, "Are you in a hurry?" before mucking his cards.

Zamani said, "Might as well take the break now," with just one minute left on the level.

Lehr Takes a Big Hit

Level 2 : 200/400, 0 ante

There were plenty of chips already in the middle and the board was completed, showing {Q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Charles Lehr bet 15,400 and Daniel Reijmer raised it up to 55,000.

"What is the bet?" Lehr asked, and the raise to 55,000 was confirmed. Although Lehr said, "Well, I guess you have fours." He could not find the fold and tossed in the chips for a call. Reijmer turned over {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for rivered quads and raked in the big pot. Lehr left his seat to tell a friend on a nearby table what happened, then returned to his seat and said, "F##k poker."

Jachtmann Flops a Boat

Level 2 : 200/400, 0 ante

Facing a bet of 11,000 from his heads-up opponent on the river of a {6-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{2-Hearts} board, Jan-Peter Jachtmann studied for a moment.

"You either have a full house or you have nothing, I can't fold," Jachtmann said as he tossed in the call.

His opponent showed {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} and Jachtmann tabled {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, flopping a full house to scoop the pot.

Er Scoops Small Pot Against Paredes

Level 2 : 200/400, 0 ante

On the five-way flop of {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, David Paredes bet 2,700 and Zorlu Er called while all other opponents including Jan-Peter Jachtmann folded. The {K-Spades} on the turn was checked through and Paredes bet the {3-Diamonds} river for 3,500. Er called and Paredes flashed {A-Clubs}{7-Spades} for aces and sevens, which Er had beat with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for aces and nines.

Paredes mucked his two other cards and Er claimed the pot.
