Rybin Sends Ferguson Home Early

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Chris Ferguson (from a previous event)
Chris Ferguson (from a previous event)

Chris Ferguson was one of the late registrants today, and it didn't take long for him to get the chips in.

According to Alexey Rybin, Ferguson raised on the button and Rybin called in the small blind. The flop came {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Rybin check-called a bet of 12,500 from Ferguson. On the {6-Hearts} turn, Rybin checked again, Ferguson bet 25,000, and Rybin went all in. Ferguson thought for a little while and called for his tournament life.

Rybin: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Ferguson: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

Rybin was ahead with a straight to the seven, but Ferguson had outs. The {A-Clubs} river was not one of them and Ferguson was eliminated in the first level of the day.

Adam Hourani Gets a Fold from Phil Galfond

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Phil Galfond raised to 7,000 from under the gun, Richard Gryko called from the cutoff, and Adam Hourani called from the big blind.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Hourani checked. Galfond bet 6,000, Gryko folded, and Hourani called.

The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and both players checked.

The {K-Clubs} fell on the river, Hourani tossed out a single T-25,000 chip, and Galfond folded.

Morgenstern Jams on the River

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Sam Trickett and Anton Morgenstern were heads-up going to the flop of {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{5-Spades} with around 15,000 in the pot. Trickett led out for 8,000 and Morgenstern called to see the {2-Spades} fall on the turn.

Trickett bet again for 21,000 and Morgenstern stuck around to see the river. The {3-Diamonds} came on the river and Trickett bet 59,000. Morgenstern thought for a couple moments before shoving all-in for 125,000.

That sent Trickett into the tank for a couple minutes as he debated what to do. Eventually, he tossed one card a time into the muck and Morgenstern took down an early pot.
