Hands #54-58: Huge Double For John Griffin

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

Hand #54: John Griffin made it 350,000 and took the pot.

Hand #55: Chance Kornuth opened the action and won the antes and blinds.

Hand #56: Kornuth opened, and Ryan Van Sanford defended his big blind. The flop was {3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, and Van Sanford check-called a bet of 180,000. The turn was the {q-Diamonds}, and a bet of 800,000 from Kornuth saw Van Sanford lay it down.

Hand #57: Harrison Gimbel opened to 200,000 from the cutoff, and Griffin re-raised to 700,000 on the button. Gimbel moved all in, and Griffin called. Gimbel had {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, and Griffin tabled {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. The board ran out {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, and Griffin got a huge double-up.

Hand #58: Kornuth limped in the small blind, and Gimbel checked.

The flop was {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, and Kornuth check-called a bet of 100,000. On the {10-Clubs} turn, Kornuth check-raised a bet of 200,000 to 600,000, and Gimbel called. Kornuth led on the {j-Spades} river for 885,000, and Gimbel called but mucked when Kornuth showed {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for two pair.
