Chmielewski and Mock Among Big Stacks

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Marcin Chmielewski was moved tables to the tan section of the Amazon room. Over in the tan section, the "Silent Shark" member slowly but surelay built his stack and was just spotted raising it up to 4,000. The big blind called and the flop fell {Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. A check was followed by Chmielewski's continuation bet of 4,000 did the trick to force a fold from his opponent.

Another big stack in the same section is David Mock with slightly fewer chips than Chmielewski.

Carl Brewington Busts Johnathan Karamalikis

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

A player raised to 13,000 and Johnathan Karamilikis shoved all in for 50,600. Carl Brewington reraised all in for 74,800 and the original raiser folded.

Karamalikis had queens against Brewington's aces. After the board ran out Karamalikis was heading to the rail and "The Goofball" Brewington was collecting the chips.

Negreanu Picks Up Aces, No Action

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Daniel Negreanu has played just a few hands so far this level. His short stacked has handcuffed him quite a bit.

In one hand, Negreanu opened to 3,500 from under-the-gun and got called by the player in the big blind. The flop came {4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Negreanu won the pot with a continuation bet of 3,500.

The blinds came through twice before he was able to play again, sliding back to 15,900.

Negreanu was able to jam twice in the next level, once from the cutoff and the other from middle position.

The last time Negreanu showed the table {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} after getting no action.

Luske Over Hinkle in the Blinds

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Action folded to small blind Marcel Luske, who raised to 4,000. Grant Hinkle called, and they saw a {10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop. Hinkle called a continuation-bet of 5,000, and both checked when the {j-Clubs} hit to bring both a flush possibility and four to a straight. The river was a {10-Hearts} and Luske bet 10,000. Hinkle called after about 15 seconds, and Luske showed {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a full house.

Jason Koon Gets There and Offers to Buy Dinner

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

The player in the cutoff raised to 4,000, the player in the small blind called, and Jason Koon three-bet shoved from the big blind for 28,200. The cutoff reshoved for 41,100 and isolated the pot with {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}, leading Koon's {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts}, giving Koon a king-high straight to double up.

"I'll buy you dinner some time, but that probably wouldn't cover it," Koon said to his unlucky opponent.

Josephy Ace-high Good Enough

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Cliff Josephy
Cliff Josephy

The under-the-gun player raised to 3,500 and both Josephy, in the small blind, and the player in the big blind called.

They all checked through the {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Hearts} on the flop and the {4-Clubs} on the turn and the {5-Clubs} on the river.

Josephy showed {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}, the player in the big blind showed {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for the same pair of threes on the board but a lower kicker. The player in the under-the-gun position mucked and Josephy took the pot.

A Call From the 'Doc'

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

A player in the hijack seat opened with a raise to 3,700 and was called by David 'Doc' Sands in the big blind.

The flop came down {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Sands checked over to his opponent who bet 4,000. Sands called.

On the {K-Clubs} turn, Sands checked once more. His opponent put out a bet of 7,000 and Sands called again.

Sands checked one more time on the river then instantly called a bet of 22,000 from his opponent, who turned over {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for the nuts. Sands mucked frustratedly and the other player took in the pot.

Kim Catches Luca Bluffing

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Ivan Luca raised to 3,400 and picked up one call before Louis Kim raised to 15,000 in the big blind. Both Luca and the cold-caller came along and the flop fell {A-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. The action checked to Luca, who bet 9,500, and Kim was the only caller.

After the {10-Clubs} turn, both players checked and Kim checked the {2-Clubs} river as well. Luca bet 18,400 and Kim tossed in a single chip for the call. That would end up winning him the pot, as Luca was caught bluffing with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}, and Kim built his stack further with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}.
