The player on the button raised, Jason Bertrand three-bet to 7,000 from the small blind, and Brian Rast four-bet to 20,000 from the big blind. The initial raiser folded, Bertrand five-bet to 45,000, Rast tanked for a bit before he six-bet shoved, and Bertrand snap-called all in for 142,800.

Bertrand: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}
Rast: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came down {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, safe for Bertrand to score the siazable double.

Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu opened from early position, and Jeremy Meacham called.

The flop was {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} with both players checking. On the {7-Diamonds} turn, Negreanu bet 3,100, and Meacham called. The river was the {7-Hearts}, and a check from Negreanu was accompanied by a worried look from him as he saw Meacham bet 7,300.

“Well I can’t beat nines,” Negreanu said and let his hand go. Meacham showed his {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. “You know, I didn’t even look at my hand,” Negreanu continued. “I just saw two paint and raised. Why is it never a pair? King-high.”

Rypulak Dismisses Cunix

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The action was all but complete after a raise from Stephanie Hubbard and a shove from Shawn Cunix for more than 24,000 out of the small blind. Mateusz Rypulak, in the big blind, went over the top, and Hubbard mucked, then said in she would have called if Rypulak had not done so.

Shawn Cunix: {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Mateusz Rypulak: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

The board came {K-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{K-Spades}{3-Hearts}, and Cunix failed to get there. While grabbing his belongings, he walked over to Hubbard and said, "Now you have some peace as the crazy one is gone."

Down to just 13,400, Nicolas Cardyn moved all in from the hijack, and the big blind looked him up with {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Cardyn had the better kicker with {A-Spades}{K-Spades} and prevailed after the board ran out {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}.

Leo Margets Unlucky

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Frank Harrington opened for 3,000 and then faced a shove from Leo Margets for 12,800.

Harrington had recently built his stack up, having been short most of the day. Margets, on the other hand, had been going in the opposite direction, unable to make a hand stick. Harrington thought for several minutes before he called to put Margets at risk.

Leo Margets: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Frank Harrington: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

Harrington was in celebratory mood, having hit the ace he called for on the turn, and Margets wished him luck as she collected her belongings and left.

The player under the gun raised to 2,500, and Johnny Chan called from the button.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, and the raiser bet 3,500. Chan called. The turn was the {6-Clubs}, and Chan called another bet — this time, 6,500 was the asking price. Both players checked the river, and the under-the-gun player showed {a-}{k-}.

Chan won the pot when he showed {9-}{9-}.

Minh Ly Flops a Straight, Doubles Through Steffen Sontheimer

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Steffen Sontheimer opened the action to 3,600 on the button, and Minh Ly called in the small blind.

The flop came {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Ly checked, and Sontheimer continued for 3,000. Ly check-raised to 8,000, and after several seconds, Sontheimer put forward a stack of orange chips. Ly called all in for his remaining stack of 41,100, and they showed down.

Sontheimer: {Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Ly: {5-Spades}{3-Spades}

Sontheimer had top pair, but Ly's flopped straight was well in the lead. The {2-Clubs} turn and the {10-Hearts} river secured the double-up for Ly, and he collected the pot.
