Perfect Runout for Sura

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Bobby Sura
Bobby Sura

On a hand from the live stream of the main feature table, the action folded round to Chris Baud in the cutoff, and he raised to 6,500 holding {A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Bobby Sura called in the big blind with his {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and checked the {8-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{K-Spades} flop. Baud checked behind, and when the turn brought the {K-Diamonds}, Sura led out for 8,000. Baud called. The {Q-Hearts} river completed the board, and Sura bet 31,000. Baud mucked.

Sura moved his stack over the 200,000-chip mark.

Joe Hachem Eliminated

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Joe Hachem
Joe Hachem

The 2005 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion, Joe Hachem, was short for quite some time and had a dedicated camera crew standing next to his table just to witness his eventual double-up or bust. Unfortunately for the Aussie, it was the latter.

From early position, Jared Palmer opened to 7,000. Over in the cutoff, Hachem shoved for 12,500 total. The button and both blinds released and Palmer made the almost-obligatory call.

Joe Hachem: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Jared Palmer: {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Hachem had gotten it in with the best hand, but it wouldn't hold up. The {Q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop paired Palmer up, and the {10-Diamonds} on the turn even improved the man from Ohio's hand. Hachem was down to just four outs, but none of the kings would complete the board. Instead, the {3-Spades} hit the river, and Hachem made his exit.

"Good luck, guys. It was nice playing with you," the former Champ said. "All the best!"

Jared Palmer moved up to about 350,000 in chips after the hand.

Polk Shows Off a Bluff

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Doug Polk
Doug Polk

Doug Polk raised to 6,500 from the button, and the big blind three-bet to 18,000. Polk called.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. The big blind continued for 26,000, and Polk called to see the {5-Hearts} land on the turn. Both players checked through to the {4-Spades} on the river. The big blind checked again, and Polk announced a bet of 38,000. His opponent folded {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} face-up, and Polk showed him {q-Spades}{10-Spades}.

"I had a gutshot and a backdoor flush draw," Polk said as he stole the pot away from his opponent.

Stefanski Folds River

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Facing a button raise, Dave Stefanski three-bet to 23,000 from the small blind. His opponent on the button called, and then called a Stefanski continuation bet of 15,500 on the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop. Both players checked the {K-Spades} on the turn. When the river landed the {5-Spades}, Stefanski checked, and his opponent bet 40,000.

Stefanski went into the tank for close to three minutes before eventually releasing his hand and dropping to 290,000 in chips.

Kenneth Cleeton
Kenneth Cleeton

On his way to register for the $1,111 Little One for One Drop, Daniel Negreanu came to check on Kenneth Cleeton. He also shared what his basic strategy for the Little One Drop will be:

"I'm going to shove a lot."

There were some people on Twitter suggesting that Negreanu swap in for Kenneth's dad (also named Kenneth), and he even asked if Negreanu wanted to trade places.

"I'd love to, but I don't think they'd let me," Negreanu said.

De Meulder on the River

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Matthias De Meulder
Matthias De Meulder

Matthias De Meulder opened to 7,500 from the hijack, and the small blind called. The flop was {J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, and the small blind check-called a bet of 7,000 from De Meulder. Both players checked the {2-Hearts} on the turn. The river was the {6-Spades}, and the small blind bet 22,000. De Meulder raised to 75,000, and the small blind called after a minute of thought.

De Meulder showed {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for the rivered full house and moved up to over a half million in chips.

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

From early position, Jonathan Gaviao pushed all in for 34,500 and Steven van Zadelhoff called in the hijack.

Gaviao: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Van Zadelhoff: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

The board ran out {K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, and Gaviao doubled through to roughly 75,0000 as van Zadelhoff dropped to 440,000 in chips.
