Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

"The Mouth" Blows it All Away

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

We just arrived at the table to see Mike "The Mouth" Matusow involved in a big pot against Michiel Brosky. The board read {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs} with nearly 100,000 in the pot already.

Matusow was in the small blind and shoved his remaining 80,000 plus into the middle. Brosky thought aloud for a couple seconds wondering if Matusow had a straight and/or flush draw. He didn't think for long before tossing in a couple chips to signify a call.

Matusow tabled {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and Brosky rolled over {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Matusow could only catch a jack to stay alive, but the river brought the {9-Spades}. Matusow quickly packed up his bag and headed out the doors on his scooter. The room all of a sudden got a lot quieter with The Mouth's disappearance.

Joe Hachem Wants to See One

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Joe Hachem
Joe Hachem

The flop is {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Joe Hachem checked to Gary Gwartney. Gwartney went all in for 30,400 into the pot of about 32,000.

Hachem debated his next move.

"What do you want me to do?" Hachem asked, "You say it and I'll do it."

Gwartney didn't really say one way or another what he preferred.

"How about this, will you show me if I fold?"

The two debated for a little and Hachem agreed that he owed Gwartney one, if he would show him on this hand.

Gwartney agreed and flashed the {k-Hearts} after Hachem folded. A few players from the table laughed because they said Hachem only said "show me one."

"Ah, I meant one hand," Hachem said laughing off the pot and the fact that he only saw one card.

Talley's Set Defeats Winzeler

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

With 55,000 in the middle and the flop reading {J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, three players checked to see the {Q-Diamonds} land on the turn.

The action was checked round to Hans Winzeler on the button, and he bet 30,000. One player folded, and Caufman Talley called in the hijack as the river landed the {4-Clubs}.

Talley checked, as did Winzeler, and Talley tabled his {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Winzeler mucked and dropped to 156,000 while Talley climbed to 200,000 in chips.

Sam Greenwood

Sam Greenwood was missing from his seat, and the table informed us about how he busted out.

Cindy Kerslake opened the pot and got a call from Robert Georato in late position. Greenwood was in the big blind and moved all in for his remaining 35,000 and Kerslake folded, but Georato called.

Greenwood found himself at risk with {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, but was up against Georato's pocket nines. The flop came jack high with two clubs, but the board bricked out and Greenwood was eliminated.

Joey Weissman

With around 34,000 in the middle preflop, the dealer delivered a {q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop. Matt Glantz checked from the big blind and Joey Weissman bet 15,000 from late position. Glantz called and the {10-Hearts} fell on the turn.

Glantz checked again and Weissman bet 28,000, which Glantz called. The river brought the {10-Spades} and Glantz checked for the third time. Weissman pushed all-in for 80,600 and Glantz counted out the chips for a call. He pushed them forward and Weissman tabled {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a full house.

Sawa Eliminates Weast

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Phillip Weast moved all in from early position for 24,000 and picked up a caller in the cutoff. On the button, Rudolph Sawa put in 100,000, and that chased everyone away, including the original caller.

"Show me ace-king," Weast pleaded.

Weast: {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Sawa: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Not so, as Sawa had kings. The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}, sending the pot to Sawa with his set. The preflop caller said he mucked ace-jack.

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

On a board reading {3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{4-Spades} with roughly 60,000 in the middle, Dave Stefanski checked over to Juha Helppi on the button.

Helppi cut out a bet of 51,100 and Stefanski pondered a call for quite a while before deciding on a fold.

Helppi raked in the pot and moved to 226,000 while Stefanski dropped to 283,000 in chips.
