Mickey Craft Cracks 2-Million Chips and Keeps Going

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Mickey Craft
Mickey Craft

Mickey Craft has a ton of chips and keeps adding to his stack.

Craft just bet 700,000 on the river with the board reading {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts} and his opponent, Greg Dyer, was in the tank.

According to Danielle Andersen, who is sitting next to Craft, the action to this point went like this:

Craft checked the {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop and Dyer bet 50,000. Yordan Petrov called and Craft called. On the turn, {4-Spades}, Craft checked again and Dyer bet 155,000. Petrov called and Craft said raise, but put out less than a raise and was forced to min-raise. Dyer called the 360,000 and Petrov folded.

The river was the {5-Hearts} and Craft bet 700,000. Dyer tanked for a little and then called. Craft showed {6-Clubs}{7-Spades} for a seven-high straight and won the pot, bringing his stack to roughly 2,800,000.

The very next hand, Michael Addamo shoved all in for 100,000 and Alessandro Borsa called. Craft called from the big blind as well.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} and both Borsa and Craft checked. The turn was the {7-Spades} and Craft bet 50,000. Borsa called. The river was the {5-Clubs} and Craft bet 200,000. Borsa tanked for close to a minute and called for his tournament life. He showed {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for ace-high and was good to win the side pot from Craft. Craft showed {q-}{8-}.

Addamo won the main pot with pocket nines.

Barch Finds a Double

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Tex Barch shoved for 72,000 over a cutoff open, and that player called with {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Barch had him dominated, much to his dismay, with {a-Spades}{9-Spades}. The {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop had the cutoff calling for a heart, but it was Barch improving on the {a-Diamonds} turn and holding on the {6-Diamonds} river.

Albert Daher Penalized: "This Isn't Some Dog-and-Pony Show"

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Albert Daher
Albert Daher

When the players return from break, one player will be on an extended break. That player is Albert Daher, as he received a one-round penalty moments ago in the last hand to take place in Brasilia.

From the sound of things, a dealer shouted that a player grabbed the cards. According to one witness, Daher simply rabbit hunted. However, the tournament supervisor took exception.

"This is the Main Event, sir," he could be heard telling Daher. "This isn't some dog-and-pony show."

Bojang Loses Some

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Ismael Bojang raised to 18,000 from early position and got one caller from the small blind.

The flop came {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{5-Spades} and the small blind checked. Bojang bet 20,000 and his opponent called.

The turn brought the {A-Hearts} and both players checked.

The {A-Diamonds} fell on the river and they checked again. The small blind tabled {K-Spades}{10-Spades}, having paired his king on the flop, and Bojang mucked.
