Liv Boeree Makes an Insane Laydown

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

On a turn of {8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{10-Spades}, Kevin Song checked to Liv Boeree who bet 110,000. James Salmon and Kevin Song called.

The river was the {k-Diamonds}. Song and Boeree checked to Salmon who moved all in for around 350,000. Song then called and Boeree looked conflicted and tanked for a long time.

She appeared to be muttering the action of the hand over and over to herself, gesturing to one stack then the other, gesturing to the size of the pot. Eventually, and in full face of the cameras, she folded.

Song showed {k-}{q-} for trip kings, while Salmon showed {8-}{8-} for a full house. Boeree, whose cards had been put to one side for use on future TV coverage, reached forward to show {2-}{2-} for a smaller full house.

"I didn't know what would have made me feel worse," said Boeree. "If I make the correct lay down I am still losing a two-million-chip pot.

"I'm happy I made the correct decision."

Matthew Moss raised to 27,000 from early position, the cutoff called, and Nick Maimone called from the button.

The flop fell {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Moss checked. The cutoff bet 65,000, Maimone called, and Moss folded.

The turn brought the {4-Hearts} and the cutoff checked to Maimone who bet what looked like 103,000. After some thought, the cutoff folded and Maimone took the pot.

Randy Lew Wins Preflop Raising War

After a player in early position opened with a raise and Randy Lew called from middle position, Ben Lamb three-bet to 110,000 on the button. The initial raiser called and Lew put together a four-bet to 370,000.

Lamb tanked for a couple minutes, looking like he really wanted to make a move, but decided to throw his cards away. The player in early position didn't waste much time before folding as well and Lew picked up a chunk of chips.

Schwarmann's Suited Connectors

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

There was a raise to 29,000 from early position and Nick Schwarmann three-bet to 76,000 from middle position. The action folded back around to the original raiser who made a four-bet to 200,000. Schwarmann called and the flop came {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}.

Schwarmann's opponent jammed all in for around 360,000 and he quickly called. Schwarmann tabled {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a pair and straight draw, and was up against his opponent's overpair of {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {7-Hearts} and Schwarmann turned his opponent dead. The insignificant {8-Hearts} completed the board and Schwarmann eliminated his opponent.

An opponent on the button called, and the turn was an {8-Spades}. Blumstein fired again for around 200,000 and took it down after a quick fold.
