Varma Bests O'Grady

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The board was spread {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} and the pot had around 50,000 already in the middle.

Michael O'Grady was in the small blind and checked his option. Hari Varma then bet out 23,500 from the cutoff which sent O'Grady into the tank for several minutes.

O'Grady eventually called and watched as Varma tabled {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a full house. O'Grady mucked his hand in disappointment later revealing he had turned the nuts.

Angelakis Flops Big Against Asad

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Michael Asad opened with a raise to 2,600 and action folded to the cutoff where Con Agelakis three-bet, making it 8,000. Everyone folded back to Asad who called.

The flop was {9-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Asad checked. Angelakis put out 3,000 which Asad called.

On the {3-Diamonds} turn, Asad checked again. Angelakis make it 10,000 this time and Asad let it go.

Sam Khoueis who was also sitting at the table asked Angelakis to show his hand.

"We all know you have a big pair," Khoueis said.

Angelakis flashed his {A-Spades} first, then turned up his {5-Hearts} as well for flopped trips. He took in the pot and chipped up to about 125,000 chips.

Asad Continues to Dominate

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The action folded around to Michael Asad in the small blind who raised to 2,800. His opponent in the big blind then thought for a minute and re-raised to 9,000. Asad didn't waste any time, reaching for his 5,000-chips, and slid out a stack that covered his opponent. The bet was snap-called.

Michael Asad: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} to see Asad hold with his dominating kicker and take down the pot.

Chew Strikes Gold to Stay Alive

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Stevan Chew
Stevan Chew

A player opened in early position with a raise to 2,200. Brett Trevillian was in the cutoff and he three-bet, making it 6,000. Next to act, Bem Richardson four-bet, making it 15,500. Action folded to the big blind and Stevan Chew moved all in, five-bet shoving for 34,700. Action folded back to Trevillian who asked for a count, then folded but Richardson snap called.

Stevan Chew: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Ben Richardson: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}

The flop was safe for Richardson when it came {Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}, keeping his aces in the lead. But the {K-Hearts} spiked the turn and with that, Chew took control. The river was the {5-Spades} changing nothing and so Chew earned a double to around 80,000 while Richardson was left with about 75,000.
