Ryan Bownds (in a previous event)

James Obst had just three-bet to 11,600 when he was faced with a four-bet jam from Ryan Bownds. The total was around 70,000 which had Obst covered.

Obst went into the tank for over a minute before finally making the call with 49,000 behind.

Bownds: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Obst: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The board ran out {5-Spades}{k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, improving Bownds to two pair, which was enough to take down the pot and eliminate Obst from the tournament.

Tan Pressures Josue

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

On a flop of {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{j-Clubs} Al Josue checked from the big blind followed by Charlie Hawes in middle position. Jerome Tan bet 3,000 from the button. Both opponents called.

The turn brought the {7-Diamonds} and again Tan fired out 5,000 after a pair of checks. Only Josue called as Hawes got out of the way.

The {3-Hearts} completed the board and Josue checked. Tan thought about his decision for a moment.

"You missed your straight, ha? said Josue, which prompted Tan to toss out 20,000.

Josue deliberated for over a minute before eventually mucking his hand.
