Stanislav Alekhin has the button and raises to 100,000. John Juanda then reraises to 325,000 and is called by his heads-up opponent.

The two see a flop of {2-Clubs}

and Juanda opens fire with a 365,000 bet. Alekhin makes the call and the dealer burns and turns the {10-Diamonds}

.

Juanda continues his aggressive assault with a 480,000 bet -- one that sends a now uneasy Alekhin into the tank. The Russian then piles up an intimidating stack of chips worth over one million, but Juanda folds before the amount is announced. Alekhin showed a pocket pair of queens before raking in the pot.

Shockingly enough, the stands are still nearly full despite the early morning hour (it's about 6:40 a.m, here in London). However, we do have a couple of nappers and a card game has broken out between Alexander Kostritsyn and his friend sitting next to him. Tournament Director Jack Effel is now propped up on a stool after standing up since yesterday afternoon and several media reps are in the process of changing their flights home.

A New WSOP Record

With the completion of Hand #355, a new WSOP record was set for the most hands played at a final table, surpassing the 354 hands played at the 2006 $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. final table that was won by the late, great Chip Reese.
