John Juanda has the button in Seat 5. Daniel Negreanu limps into the pot from under the gun and Juanda calls from the button. Ivan Demidov completes the small blind and Stanislav Alekhin checks his option in the big.

All players checked the flop, and also the {K-Clubs}

that fell on the turn.

The last card off the deck was the {3-Clubs}

and Alekhin bet 35,000. Negreanu was the only caller and Alekhin turned over {9-?}

for a king-high straight, which was good enough to take down the pot.

Negreanu checks, Sonnert bets 60,000, Negreanu raised to 180,000 and Sonnert called.

Both players held an ace-high straight and split the pot.

Ivan Demidov has the button in Seat 6. John Juanda opens the pot with a raise to 45,000. Demidov folds on the button and Stanislav Alekhin then reraises to 112,000. Daniel Negreanu thinks for a moment before eventually discarding his big blind hand and when the action returned to Juanda, he made the call.

First to act, Alekhin checks the flop and Juanda slides 140,000 worth of chips into the middle. Alekhin -- always patient and deliberate -- ponders his move for a solid minute or two before eventually laying down his hand.

Daniel Negreanu has the button in Seat 2. Ivan Demidov opens with a raise from under the gun to 39,000. Scott Fischman makes the call, as does Stanislav Alekhin, sending the action three-way to the flop: {J-Hearts}

First to act, Demidov checks to Fischman who leads out with a 45,000 bet. Alekhin then opts to raise, sliding a stack worth 135,000 into the middle. Demidov folds, and Fischman responds by moving all in. Stanislav quickly calls and turns over the {K-Hearts}

for the nut Broadway straight; Fischman tabled the {A-Clubs}

for top pair and a gutshot straight draw.

The turn and river brought running fours -- both black -- and Alekhin's straight held up, eliminating Scott Fischman from the tournament in sixth place.

'The Russian' now has over 2.5 million in chips.
