Queens Hold for Lisandro; Trickett Crippled

A manic three-way all in saw UTG, Sam Trickett and Jeff Lisandro all push preflop with 2,000, 5,000, and 3,500 respectively, Lisandro with his nose in front with {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} versus Trickett's {A-Clubs}{J-Spades} and the short stacker's {A-Spades}{4-Clubs}. An {8-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} board later and the pot went to the triple bracelet winner.

Deck Plays Tricks with the Luckless Trickett

As related to us by former tablemate Tim Blake, Trickett found himself short, and moved in with {A-Clubs} {9-Clubs} to a raise from Chris Elgie. Elgie called with pocket tens, and the flop came three clubs to give Trickett the flush -- but there was a queen on the flop as well, and two more queens on the turn and river gave Elgie a full house to up his stack to 10,000, while Trickett headed for the door.

Pearced Through the Heart

Gary Pearce, well down from his earlier high of 10,000, moved in with pocket fours on a {2-Hearts} {5-Spades} {5-Diamonds} flop. His opponent called, however, and tabled pocket jacks.

There was some excitement on the {3-Spades} turn, which gave Pearce the straight draw, but the river came down the {5-Hearts} to seal his fate.
