By a curious coincidence, Todd Brunson has drawn the exact same seat today that he occupied on Day 1 -- and so far it seems to be bringing him good luck.

The action folded around to him in the small blind and he raised to 1,700. His opponent Christopher Bebzimra made the call from the big blind, and they saw a flop.

Flop: {10-Hearts}

Brunson bet out, and Bebzimra called. They saw a turn.

Turn: {2-Diamonds}

Brunson now bet out a nice round 5,000 -- and Bebzimra responded by moving all in for 21,500. A call, and they were on their backs.

Bebzimra: {Q-Diamonds}

for an up and down straight draw
Brunson: {K-Spades}

for top two pair

River: a very blank {4-Spades}

Bebzimra took his leave through the throng of various media personnel who had somehow silently materialized around the table while the hand was in progress. Brunson moved on up to around 70,000.

Negreanu Drawing Dead, Probably Loses Minimum

Daniel Negreanu raised under the gun and got himself called by Tony Cousineau in the big blind. They saw an {A-Clubs}

flop, and Cousineau check-called another 1,000 from Negreanu.

They checked down the {8-Clubs}

turn and

river, at which point Cousineau turned over a surprisingly premium {A-Spades}

.

"Ace king?" said Negreanu, "Hang on." He checked his hole cards. "I needed... a king on the river," he continued, inexplicably. "No, I was drawing dead."

Greetings, and welcome back to the Empire Casino here at Leicester Square for this rare 5.30pm start. The current plan is to play four 90 minute levels sans dinner break, meaning we'll be looking at a 1am finish.

At time of writing, we're just one minute away from the scheduled start, although few players are in their seats and the ESPN crew are still making last minute adjustments. "Cards will be back in the air within about 10 minutes," announced Jack Effel. "About eight minutes would be my best educated guess."
