Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante
The Double Up Expert
The Double Up Expert

Ludovic Lacay has just doubled up twice in successive hands. The first hand he won was for 1,250 when his {A-} {A-} stood the test of time against the {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts} of his opponent. Then he pushed 5,000 over the line with {A-Clubs} {9-Spades} and received a caller holding {A-Spades} {7-Clubs} and now has 10,000.

Hero Call Gone Wrong for McDonald

The 'table of death' we talked about earlier has been taken apart by one man, Mikko Sundell. The Finish player who final tabled the WPT in Paris earlier this year is crushing and just knocked out Mike McDonald.

The board was {6-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{4-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and McDonald checked from the small blind to Sundell who bet 6.000. That bet was enough to put the Canadian all-in, and after only a couple of seconds he made the call and got the bad news. Sundell showed {K-Spades}{10-Spades} after which McDonald mucked his cards and left the room. He later told us he also called pre flop, on the flop and turn with pocket sevens. McDonald is going to play as many events as possible so we'll be seeing lots of him this week.

Quads Please!

Dominik Nitsche currently has the face and belief of a lucky man. He managed to get it all-in pre flop for 20 big blinds against a Tobias Garp and when the cards were turned over Nitsche was not looking good at all.

Nitsche{2-} {2-}
Garp{J-} {J-}

The dealer gave us a flop of {J-} {10-} {3-} and Nitsche had as much chance of winning the hand as I have of winning this tournament.

Turn {2-}

There was some hope for the German.

River {2-}

Garp is eliminated and Nitsche had a very unlikely double up.

Rohe Eliminates Dwan

We joined the action after a pre flop raise from the cut-off, from Tobias Rohe, and Tom Dwan defended the big blind. The flop was {A-Hearts} {K-Spades} {2-Hearts} and Dwan took the betting lead firing a 750 bet into the face of Rohe who made the call. The turn was the {Q-Spades} and once again Dwan bet, it was 1,900 and Rohe called. The river was the {5-Spades} and Dwan moved all-in and screwed his face up after Rohe snap-called.

Rohe{A-Spades} {J-Spades}
Dwan{3-Hearts} {4-Hearts}

This hand is courtesy of our French media colleagues.

Erik Seidel raised from the button and Phillipe Bernanose called in the big blind. The flop was {A-} {K-Hearts} {10-Hearts} Bernanose bet and Seidel called. The turn was the {5-Hearts} and Bernanose check-raised all-in and Seidel called.

Bernanose{A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}
Seidel{J-Hearts} {4-Hearts}

The river didn't make a slight bit of difference and Seideil was out.

Triple Barrel Bluff Backfired

Sorel Mizzi is one of the tournament pro's know for his agressive style and that just backfired against Finnish player Mikko Sundell. Tyler Kenney told us what happened in this big pot that launched Sundell towards the top of the chip counts.

Sundell raised pre flop and got three-bet by Mizzi who was in the blinds. The flop was {K-}{4-}{3-} and Mizzi continued betting, Sundell called. The turn paired the board with a {3-} and now Mizzi made a bigger and got called once again.

The river was a {Q-} and Mizzi overbet all-in for 7,100 chips. Sundell called and Mizzi said, "Nice hand" as he mucked his cards. Sundell showed pocket tens and raked in a big pot.

A Castle for Kastle

Casey Kastle is busy building a nice castle of chips after he just busted Filippo Candio. The Italian pro was short and decided to re-shove for about 2.100 with {K-}{3-} off suit and Kastle snapped him off with pocket aces. The board didn't change anything and Kastle is now playing 13,500.

Kastle got rid of Candio but is still playing against experienced pro's Alexander Kravchenko and Jonathan Aguiar.
