Just 72 Players Remain

Level 6 : 150/300, 0 ante

We've got well over two hours of play remaining and no more than 72 players are still in the hunt. We've lost 267 players already which comes down to 44 players per level. If we take it even further we can say that we lost one player every 81 seconds the entire day! The day has been very rough and fast but we also see a lot of big stacks emerging!

Frankenberger Cripples Chan

Phil Collins raised to 800 and three players called (Fierro/Chan/Frankenberger). Four-way to the flop and we saw a very acey looking {A-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {9-Diamonds}. Collins c-bet 2,500, Fierro folded, Johnny Chan raised to 6,000 before Andy Frankenberger moved all in for around 20,000. Collins folded and Chan made the call.

Showdown

Frankenberger{A-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {2-Spades}
Chan{A-Spades} {K-Spades} {5-Hearts} {5-Clubs}

Turn: {7-Spades} & River: {Q-Spades}

Frankenberger's hand held up and Chan was back to square one.

Johnny Chan
Johnny Chan

Johnny Chan and Andy Frankenberger both limped in late position before Nicolas Fierro raised to 1,400 in the big blind. Only Chan made the call and both of them saw a flop of {10-Clubs} {8-Spades} {2-Clubs} which they both checked. The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and Fierro bet 3,000 and Chan folded.

Ashby Gives Chips to Speranza

Alessandro Speranza raised to 800 in early position and Richard Ashby and John Hewitt called in the blinds. The three players shared a flop of {K-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {3-Diamonds} and both players checked to the raiser who bet 1,600. Ashby made the call and Hewitt folded and three became two going to the turn. The turn was the {Q-Clubs} and Ashby check-called a 3,800 bet. The final card was another queen - {Q-Diamonds} - and both players checked and we had a showdown that was won by Speranza.

Showdown

Speranza{J-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {8-Spades} {5-Hearts}
Ashby{K-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {7-Hearts}

Speranza Gives Chips to Solomon

Alessandro Speranza raised in first position and Jarred Solomon three-bet, one seat to his left. The action folded around to Speranza and he four-bet the total of the pot which was 8,100 and Solomon made the call. It was one of those calls that was inevitably going to be followed by an all-in on the flop. The dealer handed the boys a flop of {Q-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} and Speranza was the first one into the pot followed by Solomon and we had another showdown on our hands.

Showdown

Solomon{K-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {J-Spades} {10-Clubs}
Speranza{A-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {7-Spades} {3-Diamonds}

Solomon needed some help and the poker gods decided to give it to him.

Turn: {A-Spades} & River: {K-Spades}

Speranza handed all of the chips he had won from Ashby (and some) to Solomon and was left in a very precarious position.

After pre flop potting action John Racener got his remaining 4,000 chips in the middle and Mark Teltscher had 5,500 invested when the flop brought out {10-Clubs}{J-Spades}{7-Hearts}. Teltscher put in his last 1,500 chips and Lacay called instantly putting both his opponents at risk.

Ludovic Lacay{K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Mark Teltscher{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
John Racener{A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
