Happy John Monnette
Yesterday John Monnette had a short and not-so-sweet day after busting in the first level. Monnette, who won a bracelet this summer and is contending for Player of the Year, opted to fire a second bullet here on Day 2 and it's paying dividends thus far.
In a recent hand, Monnette and a player in the small blind got the money in on a 
flop with the latter being all in for around 6,500. The small blind held 
and was in dire straits against the 
of Monnette. The 
turn ended any suspense as Monnette improved to a boat, which left the small blind drawing dead, and he was pushed the pot after the meaningless
