Day 1b of Event #2: €1,100 No-Limit Hold'em is Set to Begin
Yesterday, World Series of Poker Europe Event #2: €1,100 No-Limit Hold'em kicked off as 295 players took to the felt for the first of two starting flights. Just 45 players survived with American Ashly Butler leading the way. Today, the Casino Barrière will play host to Day 1b, which is expected to be even bigger and better than the first flight.
You see, this particular tournament is a re-entry, meaning the 250 players who busted on Day 1a have the option of re-entering on Day 1b. We expect many pros to take advantage and fire a second bullet including Vanessa Selbst, Chance Kornuth, Davidi Kitai, Marvin Rettenmaier, Michael Mizrachi, Joe Kuether, Jeff Lisandro, John Juanda, Andy Frankenberger and Jonathan Aguiar.
In addition, they will likely be joined by some new face, such as Phil Hellmuth and David “ODB” Baker, both of who were unable to play yesterday because of their deep runs in Event #1: €2,700 Six-Handed NLHE. All of these players and more will be looking to join the likes of Day 1a’s Antonio Esfandiari, Mclean Karr and Antonin Teisseire on Monday for Day 2 action.
The plan for the day is to play the same amount of time as the first flight, meaning action should come to an end a short time into Level 9. Join us in about an hour as we bring you all the latest and greatest from Event #2: €1,100 No-Limit Hold'em Day 1b.
