Sandra Naujoks arrived to play a short while ago and wasted little time in accruing chips.
We missed all the action but she made it to the river of a board in a hand versus Chanse Kornuth. He check-called a 1,200 bet and mucked upon seeing her .

It seems anyone who busts from Event #4: €3,250 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout opts to join the Mix Max event, which is exactly what Mohsin Charania and Phil Hellmuth, who were eliminated from the Shootout in 13th and 12th place respectively, have done.

Aku Joentausta came 14th at EPT Barcelona last month and battled for long periods in that tournament with John Junada, who went on to finish 8th. The two of them are at the same table today and as the former battled in a hand with Jason Mercier, the latter stood to tell us he rated the Finn's game.
That Finn, Joentausta, opened to 350 from the hijack and was three-bet to 900 by Mercier from the next seat. Luigi Caramatti cold-called from the small blind and Joentausta also called.
The flop fell and Mercier's 1,200 c-bet was only called by Joentausta to see a appear on the turn. Mercier fired 3,525 at this juncture to force a check-fold from Joentausta.

The defending champ, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, who finished third in Event #3: €5,300 Pot-Limit Omaha about an hour ago, and has taken his seat to the immediate left of Antonio Esfandiari.
The two have been chatting back and forth while the rest of the table has listened with great interest. The latest tale told involved a bet between "The Magician" and "The Grinder" as to who could do the most pushups in one minute. "Yeah, and it's been cancelled two time," Mizrachi chimed.
"I never cancelled," Esfandiari retorted. Mizrachi admitted that it wasn't cancelled, but that it's been delayed on more than one occasion for both players to prepare. Originally it was supposed to be at the WSOP this summer, but Esfandiari struck it big in the Big One for One Drop, so he had other things on his plate. They were going to try again during the Main Event, but that fell through as well.
"Let's go right now," Esfandiari offered.
The Grinder smiled and simply replied, "We have to change dates, I've been smoking." That brought a round of laughter from the table.
"The only way to get quality time with the Grinder it to sit next to him in a tournament," Esfandiari concluded.

Jean Noel Thorel may come across as an old-school French poker player, but he is anything but. The multi-millionaire business does like to call down a lot, that's not all he is capable of though. At EPT Deuville a couple of season's ago he was witnessed six-bet bluffing pre flop against none other than Viktor Blom.
Thorel, Oliver Speidel, Mike McDonald and one other player all saw a limped flop of .
McDonald led for 475 from the big blind and was called by Thorel in early position before Speidel check-raised to 1,300 from the small blind (the fourth player folded from the cut-off). McDonald folded and Thorel called.
No more chips made it into the middle as the two remaining players checked the turn and river down. Speidel, the Aussie Millions Main Event Champ from this year, opened for queen high and lost out to the of his opponent.
