Old Battles Reborn; Mercier Back to Black

Aku Joentausta came 14th at EPT Barcelona last month and battled for long periods in that tournament with John Junada, who went on to finish 8th. The two of them are at the same table today and as the former battled in a hand with Jason Mercier, the latter stood to tell us he rated the Finn's game.

That Finn, Joentausta, opened to 350 from the hijack and was three-bet to 900 by Mercier from the next seat. Luigi Caramatti cold-called from the small blind and Joentausta also called.

The flop fell {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and Mercier's 1,200 c-bet was only called by Joentausta to see a {j-Clubs} appear on the turn. Mercier fired 3,525 at this juncture to force a check-fold from Joentausta.
