Marvin Rettenmaier and Faraz Jaka are getting short in each of their matches.
As Rettenmaier and John Aguiar were playing out a slow hand Jaka was betting 55,000 on the river of a board that contained two fives and three spades. Konstantin Puchkov tank-called with the second nut flush, bettering Jaka's trip fives.
Aguiar, meanwhile, raised and then emptied the clip with bets of 8,500, 27,500 and 63,500 on each street of a

board. The German stayed all the way to the river where he raised the white flag and folded.
2,000/4,000, 500
Martin Jacobson had the button. He raised to an unknown amount. Brandon Cantu three-bet to 26,000 only to have Jacobson come back over the top with a four-bet to 52,000. Cantu stood up from the table, counted his chips, and then announced that he was all in. Jacobson called and the hands were revealed to be racing:
Cantu:

Jacobson:

The board fell

and Cantu's pocket jacks were able to hold. The match is now close to where it started in terms of chip distribution between the players.
1,500/3,000, 500
Kristijonas Andrulis shipped all in from the button for his last 50,000 or so and Roger Hairabedian called.
Andrulis:

Hairabedian:

The board fell

and Hairabedian's pair of fives secured him the victory. Andrulis was sent to the rail and Hairabedian is the first player to advance to the round of four. Hairabedian now has at least a one in four chance to become the first every player to win two World Series of Poker Europe bracelets in one year.
"I'm not going to let you beat me, just so you know!" Said Brandon Cantu after he lost a pot Martin Jacobson.
The Swede raised to 9,000 and Cantu peeled to see a

flop. Jacobson continued for 8,000 and called when Cantu check-raised to 22,000.
The board ran out
and was checked through. Cantu gestured to his opponent to open even though he was supposed to. Cantu said, "You got it," and mucked as he saw Jacobson open
.

Picking up with the action on fifth street, the board read

and Marvin Rettenmaier checked. Aguiar bet 27,000 and Rettenmaier dipped into his stack. Rettenmaier came out with a raise to 84,200 and after about a minute Aguiar announced a call.
Rettenmaier showed
for a pair of sevens and Aguiar tabled
for a winning pair of kings.
1,500/3,000, 500
Roger Hairabedian lost some chips back to Kristijonas Andrulis before he won another pot to reassert himself.
He checked to Andrulis on every street of a

board. Andrulis bet 7,500 and 16,500 on the flop and turn but checked behind on the river.
Hairabedian opened
and took the pot as Andrulis mucked.
Martin Jacobson had the button. He raised to 6,000 only to find a three-bet to 23,000 from Cantu.
Jacobson decided to come over the top, making it 52,000 to go. Cantu five-bet shoved all in and Jacobson called for his tournament life.
Jacobson:

Cantu:

The board fell

and just like that Jacobson was able to take the chip lead in the match. This blow to the seemingly indestructible Cantu has provided an epic momentum shift in the match.
Faraz Jaka got his short-stack all in before the flop holding
and was in great shape against Konstantin Puchkov's
.
The board fell

and Jaka was able to double to roughly 160,000 in chips.
