Jacobson Wins at Showdown

1,200/2,400, 400

Martin Jacobson is slightly in profit in his game versus Brandon Cantu but he has a long way to go if he is to overturn the deficit he faces.

Cantu raised to 4,800 and continued for 5,100 on a {k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop. Jacobson called both times before the {7-Spades}{q-Spades} turn and river where checked through.

The Swede opened {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and took the pot as Cantu mucked.

Paul Tedeschi Eliminated in 9th Place (€20,443)

Paul Tedeschi - 9th Place
Paul Tedeschi - 9th Place

Paul Tedeschi got the last of his chips in holding {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades} before the flop. Unfortunately for Tedeschi, he was crushed by the {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} for Roger Hairabedian.

The board fell {5-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Hairabedian was able to secure himself the final spot in the round of eight.

Roger Reborn

What's happened to Roger Hairabedian? Ever since he lost that pot to Paul Tedeschi's straight he's changed up his tactics massively.

Gone are his instincts to call and pot control, and in comes a three-betting bluffing machine. He'd already retaken the lead with this style before he bluffed in a big pot.

Tedeschi raised to 12,000 and called when Hairabedian three-bet (again) to 30,000. The flop came {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Hairabedian continued for 30,000. Tedeschi called before both players checked the {5-Clubs} turn.

On the {2-Hearts} river Hairabedian led for 51,000 and sat as Tedeschi thought for a few minutes. He eventually folded and Hairabedian proudly opened {7-Clubs}{8-Spades} for eight high!

Puchkov Not Pulling Punches

Blinds: 1,200/2,400, 300.

On a flop reading {8-Spades}{J-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, Faraz Jaka checked to Konstantin Puchkov. Puchkov bet 7,000 and Jaka called.

The {3-Hearts} turned and both players checked. Another trey- the {3-Clubs}- rivered, and Jaka bet 5,100. Puchkov raised to 18,000 and Jaka called.

Puchkov rolled over {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and Jaka mucked his cards.

Marvin Filling His Boots

Blinds: 1,200/2,400, 400.

Marvin Rettenmaier has gotten off to a flier in his match against Jonathan Aguiar.

We caught up with the action on the turn when the board read {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades}. Rettenmaier saw his 9,600 bet called before he bet 25,500 on the {j-Spades} river. Aguiar took his time and called, only to be shown {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a full house. He mucked and dropped down to 185,000.
