Francisco Da Costa Santos just raised to 3,200 and the action was folded to Dan Shak in the big blind. He re-potted and both players agreed to be all in pre flop.
Showdown:
Dan Shak:
Francisco Da Costa Santos:
The board ran out , and Shak was eliminated. Just 12 players remain, and there will be a redraw at this point.
Raul Paez min-raised pre flop and Andrew Lichtenberger was his only caller. The flop came down , and Paez got his final chips in the pot after a pot bet and a raise.
The remaining 11 players are now on a 75-minute dinner break. We expect many of them will head over to check out the WSOP Europe Party on the beach. Check out this video of last year's party while you wait.
With about 35,000 in the pot and a board reading , Nikolay Volper and Christophe Lesage both checked to see the peel off on the river. Volper checked, but this time Lesage fired out 22,000, leaving himself just 18,000 behind. Volper, who is our chip leader, shrugged and made the call with a flush. Lesage just shook his head in disgust and mucked his hand.
Andrew "Lucky Chewy" Lichtenberger raised to 4,000 under the gun and was called by Nikolay Volper in the cutoff. Christophe Lesage then moved all in from the small blind for 16,000, Lichtenberger potted, and Volper got out of the way.
Showdown
Lesage:
Lichtenberger:
"King?" Lesage politely asked. Ask and you shall receive as the flop fell . Lichtenberger remained stoic as he watched the useless turn peel off followed by the on the river. With that, Lesage received a much-needed double and evened his stack with Lichtenberger's.
We caught the action on a flop when Mike McDonald bet 12,000 from the small blind. Andy Frankenberger called from the big blind, and the action was on Ana Marquez. She tanked for a bit, but eventually folded.
"Good luck," McDonald said before the turn came out.
The turn was the and the Canadian pro moved all in for around 3,800 chips. Frankenberger called right away.
Showdown:
Andy Frankenberger:
Mike McDonald:
The river was the "beautiful" , as Frankenberger said it, and McDonald was knocked out. We are down to 10 players.
Francisco Da Costa Santos raised to 4,500 under the gun and Nikolay Volper defended from the big blind. The flop saw Volper lead out for 9,000, but Da Costa Santos was not intimidated and raised pot. Volper thought for a long time as the two bantered back and forth. Eventually he folded face up and Da Costa Santos obliged him by showing him the nuts. It could have been a big hand, but Volper opted against it.
