Show Pelletier The Money

Daniel Pelletier just won a massive pot after doubling through Alex Bilokur, and knocking out Azzedine Mehal in the progress.

We walked up to the table when Pelletier was faced with a decision. He had 1,500 chips invested and needed to call Mehal's 4,625-chip shove in order to stay in the hand. He eventually did, after which the action went to Bilokur. The Russian pro had 3,200 invested, and he also made the call creating a big three-way pot.

The flop came down {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and both players quickly checked. On the turn the {9-Diamonds} hit and Bilokur bet 6,000. Pelletier literally slammed all his chips into the pot, and Bilokur called rather quickly.

Pelletier turned over {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and the whole table produced an "Oooh" when Bilokur showed {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}. Mehal had {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}, and both hands were dead against Pelletier's straight.

The river brought the {8-Hearts} and Pelletier screamed, "Show me the money!" as he raked in this massive pot. Bilokur was left behind short while Mehal was done for today.

Chips For Chewy

We found Andrew Lichtenberger and an opponent looking at a board of {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}. With over 6,000 in the center, Lichtenberger bet 3,700. His opponent pondered for about thirty seconds before finally reaching for chips and putting them in the middle.

LuckyChewy showed {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for top pair and his opponent replied by shaking his head. He released his hand to the muck and Lichtenberger took the pot.

Aguiar Pushes Out an October Niner

With 3,100 in the pot and a flop of {2-Spades}{J-Spades}{K-Diamonds}, Steven Gee fired out 1,800 from the big blind and received a call from Jon Aguiar on the button. The October Niner decided to slow down with a check on the {7-Spades} turn, which opened the door for Aguiar, who is on hiatus from the heads-up final in Event #5: €10,450 Mixed Max - No-Limit Hold'em to play the Main Event, to bet 3,100. It proved enough to get the job done as Gee gave up his hand.

Negreanu's Flush a Little Better Than Boujenah's

From under the gun, Ilan Boujenah raised to 400. Daniel Negreanu reraised from the hijack seat to 1,100, and Boujenah called when the action got back to him.

The two players took a flop of {J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, and Boujenah checked. Negreanu bet 1,500, which Boujenah called to see the {2-Clubs} land on the turn. Boujenah checked, and Negreanu checked behind.

The river was the {3-Diamonds}, and Boujenah checked. Negreanu bet 3,100, and Boujenah called.

Negreanu showed the {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} for a king-high flush. Boujenah showed a losing {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and lost the pot.

Trip Kings for the Octo-Niner

With the board reading {6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{K-Clubs}, Russell Thomas checked and Max Silver fired 1,150. Thomas called and fifth street brought the {7-Spades}. Thomas checked once again and Silver thought for about twenty seconds before firing a bet of 1,700.

Thomas snap called and Silver showed {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Thomas, however, held {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} for trip kings and took down the pot.

Negreanu Off To Good Start

The flop read {A-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} when Daniel Negreanu checked from the big blind to Kevin MacPhee. He had thrown out a 800-chip bet, after which the action was on Phillippe Ktorza. The Frenchman raised to 1,900, putting pressure on both his opponents.

Negreanu opted to make the call and MacPhee also committed the extra chips. The turn brought out the {5-Hearts} and this time Negreanu lead out for 3,600. Both MacPhee and Ktorza folded giving Negreanu a nice pot.
