Tony G Takes One From Mostafavi

Tony G lost a big pot early on versus Alex Mostafavi, but he just managed to win some chips back from his neighbor.

Mostafavi limped on the button and Tony G raised from the small blind to 12,500. Roger Hairabedian gave up his big blind, and Mostafavi called.

The flop brought out {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Tony G quickly threw out 25,000. Mostafavi tanked for about a minute before making the call. The turn brought the {A-Hearts} and Tony G bet 35,500 with 175,000 left behind. Mostfavi tanked for a bit, but eventually he folded his cards.

Win a Trip to Manchester United vs Braga Thanks to PartyPoker

Level 18 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
UEFA Champions League promotion from PartyPoker
UEFA Champions League promotion from PartyPoker

PartyPoker have launched a fantastic promotion that will see someone — hopefully you — walk away with two tickets to the Manchester United versus Braga UEFA Champions League match on October 23, 2012, plus expenses thrown in for good measure!

The lucky winner of this promotion will receive two tickets to the match, travel expenses and Legendary Treble Suite hospitality.

In order to have a chance at getting your hands on this fantastic prize, all you have to do is share a screenshot of a poker hand on the PokerNews Facebook Page. Really, it's that simple.

Play poker at a real-money table on PartyPoker during September 24 and October 7, 2012, and be prepared to take a screenshot of anything you think may be interesting. If you are involved in a hand that is a huge cooler, then take a screenshot of it. Have you just witnessed a horrible bad beat? Then share it with the world. The owner of the screenshot with the most likes will win the package.

All we ask is that the screen shot be at least 800x600 in resolution and that it has all of the core elements — username and hand number — recognizable, that the action the screenshot is portraying takes place between September 24 and October 7 and that the screenshot is genuine and has not been altered regarding its content. Only the player who played the hand in the screenshot is allowed to share the picture and therefore eligible for the prize.

PokerNews would like to wish you all the very best of luck and we cannot wait to see the images that you submit!

Hairabedian Lets Kurganov Pick

Roger Hairabedian
Roger Hairabedian

The board read {8-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{Q-Spades} when the action was on Roger Hairabedian. He put out three bets right in front of his stack, and his opponent Igor Kurganov had to pick.

"You choose, I bet," Hairabedian said as he put out 18,000, 30,000 and 50,000-chip bets.

Kurganov decided on 30,000 and immediately Hairabedian pushed that bet forward.

"Now I've confused myself," Kurganov said as he smiled, and the other players at the table cracked a smile.

"The next time pick this one," Hairabedian said as he pointed to the 50,000-chip bet. "If I give you a gift I want to do a big gift," the French WSOPE bracelet winner said. "When I speak a lot I'm strong," Hairabedian added as Kurganov remained confused.

Eventually the German folded, and Hairabedian picked up the pot.

No Score For Phil Ivey

Phil Ivey has already been knocked out. He showed up late for the event, and Talal Shakerchi just took all his chips. In one of the final hands of the previous level there was a raise under the gun to 7,000. Ivey called under the gun +1 after which Shakerchi three-bet to 27,000.

The action was folded back around to Ivey who pushed all in. Shakerchi called with {K-}{K-} and beat Ivey's {6-}{6-}.
