Tony G Doubles Through Juanda

Tony G
Tony G

From middle position, John Juanda raised to 14,000, and action folded to Tony G on the button. He reraised and made it 35,000 to go. Play folded back to Juanda, and he raised enough to put Tony G all in. After a few minutes of tanking, Tony G called to put himself at risk for 215,500 total.

Juanda held the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}, and he was up against the {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for Tony G.

"I had to go with my gut, I couldn't go against it," said Tony G.

The board ran out {K-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{J-Clubs}, which was in favor of Tony G and he won the pot to double up.

Quoss Shoots Up

On a {4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{10-Diamonds} board Fabian Quoss bet 55,000 into his fellow countryman Tobias Reinkemeier. Reinkemeier was on the button and he called.

The river was the {3-Hearts} and Quoss bet 80,000. Reinkemeier looked at Quoss for a bit before and tossed in the call.

Quoss showed {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}, and Reinkemeier produced a wry smile as he flashed {J-Spades}{10-Spades}. Quoss shoots up the leader board while Reinkemeier still has around the average stack.

Benefield Cracks One Million

From early position, Tony Gregg raised to 12,000. Next to act was David Benefield. He reraised and made it 30,000 to go. Play then folded back around to Gregg, and he took a minute to reraise all in for approximately 200,000. Benefield quickly called with the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}. Gregg held the {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}.

The board came down an uneventful one with the {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}, and Benefield's aces easily held up.

Benefield raked in the pot as Gregg hit the rail and climbed to over a million in chips.

From under the gun, Sam Trickett raised to 12,000. Roger Hairabedian called from middle position, and Igor Kurganov called from the small blind.

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, and action checked around to see the {6-Spades} land on the turn. Play checked over to Hairabedian, and he bet 30,000. Both his opponents folded, and Hairabedian won the pot.
