Hairabedian Fights His Demon

Roger Hairabedian didn't go to sleep just yet

Sam Trickett raised to 16,000 from the cutoff after which Winfred Yu folded his button. Roger Hairabedian sat in the small blind, and he gave Trickett a little speech before three-betting.

Hairabedian brought up the Partouche Poker Main Event final table the two played back in 2011. Hairabedian finished fifth for €230,000, and Trickett ended up winning the cool million for first. Apparently Trickett had bluffed the Frenchman on numerous occasions, and he hadn't forgotten about it. Hairabedian finally put out a three-bet to 44,000.

Trickett smiled and after some back and forth chat he four-bet to 100,000.

"If you speak then I speak," Hairabedian said. He quickly counted out another 200,000 chips and five-bet to 246,000 chips. Trickett went into the tank, and Hairabedian started talking.

"I dream of you every night! All of France was laughing at me, because you fight me," Hairabedian said as he raised his fist to show what a battle it was back at that final table. After about a minute Trickett folded, and Hairabedian showed the {10-Hearts}.

"I f***ing knew it!" Trickett yelled as he flipped up his {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}.

"If you go all in, I go to sleep," Hairabedian smiled as he stacked his new chips. Trickett still has one of the biggest stacks in the room, but Hairabedian isn't far out.

Sointula Wins Preflop

Fabian Quoss raised to 16,000 preflop after which Tobias Reinkemeier three-bet to 37,000. The action was folded to Jani Sointula in the blind, and he four-bet to 80,000. Quoss needed 20 seconds to fold his cards after which Reinkemeier also took his time, but eventually kicked in his cards. Sointula picks up a nice pot pre flop and climbs up to around 390,000.

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} to give Thorel a full house, and he doubled up to stay alive.

Gruissem Takes One

Philipp Gruissem has been raking in quite some chips as of late, and he's now up over the 500,000-chip mark. Scott Seiver raised to 17,000 from early position and Gruissem called from the button. Tobias Reinkemeier was in the big blind and he called as well.

The flop brought out {5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and all three players checked. On the turn the {Q-Spades} hit and Reinkemeier bet 37,000. Seiver folded and Gruissem made the call.

On the river the {5-Diamonds} popped up and the action was checked again. Reinkemeier showed {J-Spades}{6-Spades} and lost to {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}.
