Savinelli Limps Aces and gets Paid

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Carlo Savinelli limped from under the gun, as did Ismael Bojang from one seat over and Ricardo Chauriye in the cutoff. Hannes Neurauter in the small blind and Valentin Vornicu checked from the big blind. The flop of {Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} saw a bet of 65,000 by Savinelli and Chauriye was the only caller.

Both checked the {10-Clubs} turn and Savinelli's bet of 125,000 on the {3-Clubs} river was called by Chauriye. Savinelli showed {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and a frustrated Chauriye mucked {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} face up. "Fuck ... I had king jack," Bojang said and they talked through some scenarios on how the hand might have played out if Bojang had stayed in.

Big Comeback for Bojang

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Ismael Bojang
Ismael Bojang

With a little over 100,000 in the middle, the flop came {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} and Ismael Bojang checked from the small blind. Oleksandr Shcherbak led out for 50,000 and Bojang announced all-in. Shcherbak instantly called and the cards were tabled.

Ismael Bojang: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}
Oleksandr Shcherbak: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Bojang flopped a flush and left Shcherbak drawing slim. The turn was the {a-Spades} giving Shcherbak some outs for a full house but the {6-Clubs} on the river paired the wrong card. Bojang doubled up to over 800,000, leaving Shcherbak with only five big blinds.

Bornefalk Gets Rivered by Sameeian

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Tobias Bornefalk
Tobias Bornefalk

In a battle of the blinds, Tobias Bornefalk raised and Ali Sameeian called to see a flop of {J-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. Bornefalk continued for 32,000 and Sameeian raised to 95,000, before the Norwegian moved all in for around 250,000. Sameeian called and the cards were turned over.

Tobias Bornefalk: {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Ali Sameeian: {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}

The {9-Diamonds} on the turn gave Sameeian some outs and he asked for a ten, but was equally happy about the {Q-Diamonds} river that gave him the superior two pair. Bornefalk was eliminated in 22nd place and takes home €3,184.

Arnoid gets Short

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

After losing a bigger pot to Sergio Fernandez, Pawel Czichowski bounced back after taking off quite some chips from Dominik Arnold.

On the {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, Arnold check-raised to 135,000 out of the small blind and Czichowski called from the cutoff before the duo checked through the {8-Diamonds} turn. The {2-Clubs} river completed a possible flush draw and Arnold checked. Czichowski bet 115,000 and that forced a quick fold.

Gulas and Tomovic Eliminated Simultaneously

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Josef Gulas got all of his 190,000 chips in the middle with {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} but ran into the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} of Carlo Savinelli. The board ran out {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Savinelli's kings held on to eliminate Gulas.

One table over, Aleksandar Tomovic found himself all-in on a flop of {q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}. Tomovic held the best hand with {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} and was up against the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} of Viliyan Petleshkov. The dealer burned and turned the {k-Hearts}, leaving Tomovic scratching his head. The river brought the {3-Spades} and Tomovic was ousted at the hands of Petleshkov.

Botbol Falls to the Rush of Danis

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Serge Danis in the cutoff and short stack Yaniv Botbol clashed and Botbol needed to dodge the remaining three aces in the deck, or plenty of spades to avoid elimination.

Yaniv Botbol: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Serge Danis: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}

The board came {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Botbol's hopes of a deeper run were crushed. "If I shove, do you call?" Georgios Zisimopoulos on the button asked and Danis nodded, claiming he was committed.

Fernandez Busts Kondraszuk and Stewart

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Scott Stewart
Scott Stewart

Sergio Fernandez opened the action with a raise to 26,000 and Maciej Kondraszuk moved all in from one seat over. Scott Stewart in the big blind asked for a count and the shove of Kondraszuk was for 170,000. Stewart moved all in for less than three times of that and Fernandez snap-called.

Maciej Kondraszuk: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Scott Stewart: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Sergio Fernandez: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

Kondraszuk had a massive sweat on the {Q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop, but the {7-Clubs} turn and {6-Clubs} river were both blanks. The stacks were counted and Fernandez was all in for 451,000, which narrowly covered the 446,000 of Stewart to result in a double elimination.
