Jerome Sgorrano
Jerome Sgorrano

Hand #1:
After being left with 700 chips behind, Roberto Romanello shoved all in. The next player to act raised to 7,700 and the rest folded.

Roberto Romanello: {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. Romanello flopped the nut straight to quadruple to 2,800.

Hand #2:
Jerome Sgorrano, in middle position, raised to 7,000 and was called by the player in the hijack. Romanello, now in the big blind, went all in for 2,800. The dealer counted out a pot of 9,400 for Romanello and the rest was going into a side pot.

The flop came {2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Sgorrano bet and the hijack player folded, leaving only two players in the hand.

Sgorrano: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Romanello: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The {K-Hearts} on the turn gave Sgorrano a pair of kings, but gave Romanello hope with a straight draw. The {K-Spades} on the river completed the board to give Sgorrano trip kings and Romanello was eliminated.
