Last Break With 27 Remaining

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Alexander Lakhov more than doubled up his last 13,300 after a shoving into a raise by Aaron Duczak, as Rene Berube reraised the pot to force out everyone else.

Lakhov had {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and faced the {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs} of Berube, the board ran out {J-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{J-Spades}{3-Hearts}.

Dario Alioto was all in for very few chips and picked up calls by Roman Cieslik and Thomas Pohnke. The remaining active players checked down the board of {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Alioto showed {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Pohnke mucked {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Cieslik groaned "how can I miss that one?", flashing {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for a missed straight and flush draw.

Right after, the remaining 27 players were sent into the final 20-minute break of the day. Action will resume with a maximum of four levels of 30 minutes to go, or until the last 12 hopefuls are reached, whichever of the two comes first.

James Akenhead: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Obadia Takes from Ramos

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Alex Foxen and Chris Ferguson are both in the running for the 2017 WSOP Player of the Year and both are the far shortest stacks on the money bubble right now.

In the meanwhile, Jose Obadia bet the river of a board {5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Spades} for just 5,500 from the button and Felipe Ramos in the big blind check-called. Obadia rolled over {A-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for the nut flush and Ramos mucked {K-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} face up. "I called you for the three," the Spaniard added while raking in the pot.

Two Doubles on the Bubble

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

There were two all in and call on the money bubble on different tables and Alexander Lakhov was awaiting his fate, the all in was already called by Aaron Duczak. One table over, James Akenhead raised to 7,000 and Chris Ferguson three-bet the pot out of the blinds. Akenhead shoved for 24,100 and Ferguson called with the superior stack.

James Akenhead: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Chris Ferguson: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

"Of course he has aces, he hasn't played a hand in ages," Roman Cieslik said before the board ran out {9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}. "I know what hand he has, but I cannot fold," Akenhead replied after he rivered the straight to survive on the bubble and leave Ferguson very short in chips.

Over on the other table, the cards were now also turned over.

Alexander Lakhov: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Aaron Duczak: {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The board of {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} was a roller coaster for Lakhov, who had top set on the flop but was in need of the board to pair. Running eights ensured just that and he also doubled.
