Dono Jumps Into the Lead

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Walter Treccarichi
Walter Treccarichi

Walter Treccarichi started the day as one of the big stacks but that all came to a crushing end towards the end of level 13. According to Luis Dono, he opened the button to 5,500 and Krasimir Yankov three-bet from the small blind to 18,000. Treccarichi shoved for 30 big blinds out of the big blind and Dono reshoved with pocket kings to see Yankov call with pocket jacks and Treccarichi turn over the {K-}{Q-}.

There was no upset as the kings held up, vaulting Dono into the top spot.

Sekularac Pushes Into Hellmuth

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Ognjen Sekularac
Ognjen Sekularac

On the {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Spades} turn, Ognjen Sekular check-raised from 6,200 to 15,000 and Phil Hellmuth called before the {5-Clubs} fell on the river. Sekularac led for 80,000 right away, which had Hellmuth's stack covered. The Poker Brat was sent into the think tank, and after two minutes of consideration he apologized to the table: "I am almost ready, sorry guys."

Some more time followed and Hellmuth added "You are crazy enough to give me the chips," after which Sekularac called the clock on him. The tournament director made his way to the table but Hellmuth folded before time was enforced, and the table broke soon after.

Auer Busts Ochana

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Robert Auer
Robert Auer

Viacheslav Goryachev and Eddie Ochana are the next two casualties and the field has been reduced to just 63 players.

Ochana three-bet shoved from the small blind and initial raiser Robert Auer from under the gun called.

Eddie Ochana: {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Robert Auer: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

The board of {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} made Ochana's flopped two pair worthless and he headed to the rail.

Hellmuth Doubles

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

In a limped battle of the blinds, Ognjen Sekularac and Phil Hellmuth checked the {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop and Sekularac min-bet the {10-Diamonds} turn for 2,400, which Hellmuth called. After the {2-Hearts} river, Sekularac bet 3,000 and Hellmuth folded the {K-Clubs} face up to drop to around 35,000.

The next hand, Hellmuth limped the small blind and Aleksandar Tomovic moved all in with ace-nine suited. Hellmuth quickly called with {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and the board ran out safely for the Poker Brat to remain in contention.

Sekularac Cracks Aces

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Ognjen Sekularac defended his big blind against a raise by Luca Sebastiani and the duo saw a flop of {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. The duo had similar stacks and they found their way into the middle of the table with Sebastiani as the player at risk.

Luca Sebastiani: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}
Ognjen Sekularac: {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

Both the {K-Clubs} turn and the {9-Diamonds} river were blanks and Sekularac's two pair cracked pocket aces to eliminate Luca.

Larabi Busts Sapra

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

A raise by Bernard Larabi was followed by the shove of short stack Sumit Sapra from the cutoff and Larabi called.

Sumit Sapra: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Bernard Larabi: {A-Spades}{8-Spades}

The {J-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} was bad news for Sapra already, and the {Q-Spades} turn gave Larabi a flush. Sapra needed the board to pair, but instead it was the {K-Spades} river that ended his hopes of a cash in the 6-max event.
