The Action Slows Down

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

While the eliminations came rather quickly thus far, now that the money bubble is in sight the action has slowed down significantly.

On the heads-up turn of {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}, Jerry Odeen bet 11,500 in the hijack and Vincent Moscati called in the cutoff. The {Q-Hearts} completed the board on the river and Odeen bet 30,000, which did the trick to force a fold from Moscati.

Zinno Flops the World

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Anthony Zinno
Anthony Zinno

The action folded around to Anatoliy Zyrin on the button who managed to get all of his 50,000 chips in the middle against Anthony Zinno in the small blind. Zyrin was in a good position to double up with {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} against Zinno's {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}.

The flop fell {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Spades} and Zinno flopped the nut flush draw with an open-ended straight draw. The {4-Spades} on the turn gave Zinno the flush and Zyrin was drawing dead to the {q-Diamonds} on the river.

Cudrinkschi Jams Into Hughes

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Three players invested 11,000 each to see the flop of {K-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and the big blind checked, while Iurie Cudrinschi bet 22,000. Ryan Hughes called and the big blind folded. After the {K-Hearts} turn, Cudrinschi checked and subsequently check-raised from 31,000 to 65,000, picking up a call from Hughes.

As soon as the {9-Hearts} appeared on the river, Cudrinschi moved all in and Hughes folded to remain with an above-average stack near the money bubble.

Adomkevicius Rivers a Wheel

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Ryan Hughes opened to 10,000 on the button and Aneris Adomkevicius piled his remaining 95,500 chips in the middle from the small blind. Hughes thought for a moment and then made the call, having his opponent slightly dominated.

Hughes showed {a-Spades}{6-Spades} and Adomkevicius turned over {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. The board ran out {8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Adomkevicius made a straight on the river to double through Hughes as the money bubble approaches.

Dumea Shoves Into Deviatov

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

From under the gun, Dmitrii Deviatov raised to 12,000 and called the three-bet to 34,000 by Razvan-Andrei Dumea in the big blind. Dumea continued for 19,000 on the {Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop and Deviatov called before the Romanian moved all in after the {5-Spades} turn. Deviatov gave it brief consideration and folded with some 110,000 behind.

Lisiy Eliminated to Reach the Money Bubble

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

The action folded to Jan Bednar in the small blind who announced all-in with Sergey Lisiy in the big blind. Lisiy had just 105,000 behind but instantly made the call after looking at his cards. Bednar reluctantly turned over {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Lisiy showed {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Spades} with the ace right in the window, giving Bednar the lead. The {k-Clubs} on the turn and the {4-Spades} on the river didn't change anything and Lisiy was eliminated.

There are just 37 players remaining and hand-for-hand play will now commence for the money bubble.

Setka Takes from Sekularac

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

In a battle button versus small blind, Petr Setka in the cutoff and Ognjen Sekularac on the button checked the {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{J-Clubs} turn and Setka bet the {K-Diamonds} river for 15,000. Sekularac called and sighed when being shown {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} for rivered top pair.

"You probably called the turn, right?" Sekularac asked and Setka nodded.
