Kessler Doubles Through van Holsteyn

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Pim van Holsteyn has been one of the more active players today and he raised the small blind to 30,000. Allen Kessler was in the big blind and took the maximum time allowed to reraise to 90,000 leaving 12,000 behind. van Holsteyn raised and Kessler waited about 20 seconds before calling off his remaining 12,000.

He showed {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Hearts} against the {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{j-Spades} held by van Holsteyn. The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and Kessler doubled up.

Erik Cajelais Eliminated in 18th Place (€3,594)

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Erik Cajelais
Erik Cajelais

Erik Cajelais potted from the big blind for 75,000 on a {7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop. Lukas Zaskodny put him all in for his last 25,000 or so after some thought.

Cajelais: {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Zaskodny: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Both had flush draws, with Cajelais' nut draw and open-ender meaning he had more outs to make his hand against a lower flush and a gutter. However, he needed to improve as Zaskodny had him high-carded for the moment. The {j-Hearts} turn closed off a few outs, and the {q-Spades} river did nothing for Cajelais.

John Racener Eliminated in 19th Place (€3,594)

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
John Racener
John Racener

Pim van Holsteyn eliminated John Racener after van Holsteyn raised to 20,000 on the button and Racener raised the pot and van Holsteyn put Racener all in for about 10,000 more.

Racener held {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} against the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} of van Holsteyn.

The board ran out {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and van Holsteyn won the hand to eliminate Racener in 19th place. Racener will take home €3,594 for his finish.

Gisle Olsen Eliminated in 21st Place (€3,594)

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

On a flop of {k-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, Gisle Olsen got his stack of around 300,000 in from the blinds against Georgios Koliofotis, who was in early position. It looked like Koliofotis bet the flop and Olsen check-raised.

Koliofotis: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Olsen: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

Olsen was in awful shape as an ace would improve Koliofotis to a straight. His best hope was backdoor spades, but the {8-Hearts} turn ended that and locked it in for Koliofotis.

At another table, Mike Leah went bust.

Sergej Barbarez Doubles Through Liran Twito

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Sergej Barbarez
Sergej Barbarez

Sergej Barbarez just doubled in a three-way pot. Barbarez turned a set on the {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} board and Liran Twito bet 50,000. Barbarez bet the pot, making it 210,000 and Mike Leah folded what he said was two pair. Leah was left with under 100,000.

Twito reraised to get all in against Barbarez, having Barbarez well covered and showed a set of tens holding {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} against the {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}{x-}{x-} of Barbarez.

The river was the {4-Clubs} and Barbarez completed the double up.

Barbarez is a former footballer with 47 international caps with the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team. He has $133,527 in live tournament earnings with his first cash coming in 2010.

Vahid Amirzahiri Eliminated in 22nd Place (€3,594)

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Vahid Amirzahiri
Vahid Amirzahiri

Vahid Amirzahiri was eliminated by Krasimir Yankov. The final hand wasn't too eventful when Yankov got the last of Amirzahiri's remaining chips holding {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{8-Spades} against Amirzahiri's hand which had no card higher than an eight.

Yankov flopped a set, but Amirzahiri was still drawing to a few outs with a gutshot wheel draw that missed on the river. He was eliminated.

Yankov won a couple hands from Amirzahiri earlier in the day, and it continued to get worse for him until he finally busted at the hands of Yankov.

Christian Rachel Eliminated in 24th Place (€3,594)

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Angelo Benedetto raised under the gun to 20,000. Christian Rachel called for less in middle position and Dario Alioto clicked back to 39,000 in the small blind. Benedetto reraised to about 160,000 and Alioto tanked a bit and folded.

Benedetto: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Rachel: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Rachel flopped top set, but Benedetto's danglers hit a straight on the river.
