"What did you have?" exclaimed tablemate Dario Alioto at Clinkscales. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and Clinkscales pointed at the King to give Alioto a hint.

Dario Alioto
Dario Alioto

Dario Alio will come into Day 2 of Event #7: €1,640 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo more than 240,000 chips ahead of his nearest rival, a figure which equates to 40 big blinds.

Alioto will be hoping for more confrontations like the ones he had yesterday, including a memorable hand where he flopped top house to eliminate two players, a hand which saw him take over the chip lead.

However, the Italian will not have it all his own way with a wealth of experienced players waiting in the wings. Chris Ferguson, Mike Leah and John Racener will battle it out amongst themselves for bragging rights instalmentst installment of the POY race, while the likes of Phil Hellmuth and Ismael Bojang will also be on the hunt for WSOPE glory.

Just 18 players resume play today at 13:00, and the plan is to play down to a final table of eight. There will be redraws at 16 and 9 players.
