With more than 50,000 already in the middle and the turn showing , Giuseppe Tedeschi moved all in for the last 36,500 and Nicolaas Baars was in the think tank. "You missed a big one," Julian Adamson said and indeed a big stack was missing from table 94, as the seat that formerly belonged to Vladimir Valent was now empty. The chips went just a few centimeters over and right into the stack of Gerrit Muller, who once again claimed the top spot on Day 1A: Word on the street is a limped pot gave both players two pair and Muller had the best of it.

Paul Berende raised the button to 5,500 and Julian Adamson three-bet out of the small blind to 16,000, which forced a quick fold from Berende.
Two hands later, Philipp Zukernik made it 6,500 to go from the small blind and Michael Braeutigam defended the big blind. Zukernik continued for 4,000 with the flop showing , but a raise to 13,000 did the trick for Braeutigam.

The third and penultimate break of the day has just kicked off with 41 players out of 154 entries remaining. In the 15-minute break, the T-100 chips will be raced off as they are no longer required for the remainder of the night.
Daniel Prior had been eliminated not long ago and was replaced by Mirko Kratzer. However, the fortune in the seat remained the same as Kratzer bowed out soon after. Down to around 17,000 he was all in with the and Vladimir Valent had an easy call with . The board came and one king wasn't enough to keep Kratzer in contention.
In the meanwhile, Shaun Deeb has also been eliminated on a different table and will have to try again in one of the remaining seven flights in order to earn vital points for the Player of the Year leardboard.

The first of eight starting days of The COLOSSUS will play until the end of level 18 or until 10 players remain, whichever of the two comes first. Similar to the 2017 edition of this event in Rozvadov and also at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, the money will be reached and there is a separate prize pool for each Day 1 and as of Day 2. The 154 Day 1A entries created a prize pool of €73,881 and the top 24 spots will get paid as follows:
