Petersen Doubles Through Barkow

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Elbert Petersen raised to 4,200 from early position and action folded to Kevin Barkow in the big blind who considered his options for a while before three-betting to 15,000. Now it was Petersen's turn to contemplate for a while. In the end, Petersen shoved and Barkow called.

Elbert Petersen: {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Kevin Barkow: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Spades}{a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for Petersen to hit the ace on the flop to double up.

Barkow was clearly not happy, voicing his thoughts about Petersen's call out loud.

Ehrenholz Doubles Through Herrmann

Niklas Ehrenholz: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Reto Herrmann: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}

The board ran out {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for Ehrenholz to hit two pair to double up.

Feuz busts Shojaei

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Amir Shojaei was seen leaving his table while his {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} were still visible on the table. Stephan Feuz had {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} in front of him and was adding Shojaei's chips to his own stack. The board showed {q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{k-Diamonds} so Feuz had flopped the set of queens while already being ahead.

Kaneoya Doubles; Busts After

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Renato Kaneoya ended up all in and at risk for around six big blinds with the {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Mohamed Seghiri called with {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}. The board came {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Kaneoya spiked a straight on the turn to double.

However, soon after he would bow out against Slavomir Byrtus and jumped out of his chair, which fell over. Very likely, Kaneoya will head straight to the cashier to sign up for the upcoming final flight. The same table also featured Shaun Deeb briefly, who experienced the same fate as Kaneoya.

Borba Explodes

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Itay Borba could be heard from the other side of the room as he shouted out some Italian profanities and when the PokerNews live reporting rushed over, Borba had {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} in front of him.

The board read {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and it looked like Stefano Maranta had rivered the flush on him with {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. After paying Maranta's double-up, Borba was left with 4,500.

The hand right after, Borba shoved from the late position after Ghassan Yared had raised to 3,400. Roland Israelashvili considered for a while but opted to fold. Action folded back to Yared who called. They both held {a-}{j-} and split the blinds and ante between the two of them.

Shortly after, Borba busted.
