Bouwmans Needs the River to Double

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Bjorn Bouwmans raised to 160,000 from mid-position and was called by Marian Kubis in the big blind.

The flop came {8-Spades}{10-Spades}{q-Spades} and Kubis check-called the 200,000 continuation-bet of Bouwmans.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and Kubis checked again. Bouwmans shoved for 870,000 and Kubis called.

Bjorn Bouwmans: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Marian Kubis: {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Kubis had flopped two pair and Bouwmans held the overpair and a flush draw.

The river completed the board with the {9-Spades} to give Bouwmans the flush indeed to double up.

Ambrus Flops Two Pair

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds, the dealer fanned the flop of {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. Christian Bertu led out for 145,000 from the small blind and Sandor Ambrus instantly splashed in a raise to what looked like 1,000,000. Bertu sighed before moving all in for just slightly more and Ambrus quickly called.

Sandor Ambrus: {k-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Christian Bertu: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Ambrus flopped two pair and just needed to avoid a diamond to send Bertu home. The {5-Clubs} on the turn and the {5-Hearts} on the river were safe as Ambrus held on to eliminate Bertu.

Neurauter Holds Against Kamphues

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Hannes Neurauter and Lars Kamphues got all of the chips in the middle preflop with Neurauter being the player at risk for 675,000. Neurauter turned over {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and was in a race against the {a-}{k-} of Kamphues.

The flop of {8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs} were all small cards which kept Neurauter in the lead. The {6-Spades} changed nothing on the turn and the {8-Diamonds} paired the board on the river. Neurauter held on for a full double up and left Kamphues on the short stack with 300,000 chips.

Amedi All Alone At the Top

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Netanel Amedi
Netanel Amedi

Netanel Amedi jolted up from his chair and the PokerNews live reporting team rushed over to see what was happening.

Netanel Amedi had both Mirza Meskic and Radek Castka covered and all their hole cards were exposed,

Radek Castka (big blind): {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Mirza Meskic (button): {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Netanel Amedi (cutoff): {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{j-Spades} and Meskic slammed the table with his fist as Amedi hit the pair of kings and Castka hit a pair of jacks.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} which didn't change the current situation.

The river was the {2-Diamonds} and Amedi eliminated his two opponents in one clean sweep to take him to the top of the chip counts.
