Mazilu Doubles Through Andler

Level 2 : 200/400, 0 ante

The complete board read {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Mihail Mazilu got his last 40,000 in the middle on that board.

His opponent was Christopher Andler and he had a seemingly tough decision. Andler ended up calling, but his {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds} wasn't good enough to take down the pot against the {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} of Mazilu.

Small One For Givens

Level 2 : 200/400, 0 ante

Will Givens raised under the gun to 1,100 and both players in the blinds called. Eyal Avitan from the small blind and Steve Krosby from the big blind.

The flop came down {8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and it checked to Givens, who took down the pot with a continuation bet of 1,500.

Givens entered the tournament yesterday as well, but he didn't make it through to Day 2, just like last year's third-place finisher Mathijs Jonkers, who is seated at the same table.

Huang's Set Isn't Good Enough Against Chen

Level 2 : 200/400, 0 ante
James Chen in an earlier event
James Chen in an earlier event

James Chen raised from the hijack, another player three-bet and Shan Huang called in the big blind, so did James Chen.

The flop came {5-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, Huang and Chen checked, the other player bet 4,000, Huang raised to 15,800, Chen three-bet to 43,500. Their opponent quickly got out of their way and Huang tanked and then shoved. Chen snap-called.

Shan Huang: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
James Chen: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Huang had flopped a set of fives, Chen had flopped the straight and flush draw. The turn was the {3-Clubs} to give Chen a flush so Huang needed the board to pair up but the {2-Spades} on the river didn't do that as he was eliminated during the second level of the day.

Bortnik Defends His Big Blind

Level 2 : 200/400, 0 ante
