Event #10: €10,350 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event
Day 3 Started
Yesterday saw registration close and the field whittled down to just 165, and today on Day 3 expect more action as players look to bag big stacks as we head into the final few days worth of action here at the 2018 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event.
Leading the way is Italian Dario Sammartino who said last night that two or three years ago it was a "dream" to win a bracelet, and he still carries that motivation to this day. He bagged 1,480,000 in chips, ahead of Marco Slacanac (1,128,500) and Jack Salter (1,051,000) who are the only three with seven-figure stacks.
Plenty of bracelet-winners are still in contention, including Niall Farrell who won his at the WSOPE last year, along with 2018 WSOPE bracelet winners Norbert Szecsi who won his earlier this festival in Event #6: No-Limit Hold'em/Pot-Limit Omaha Mixed Event, and Timur Margolin who won his in Event #5: €1,100 No Limit Hold'em - Monster Stack.
Former WSOP Main Event winners Ryan Riess and Chris Ferguson are still in the field, as well as former WSOPE Main Event winner and Day 1b chip leader Adrian Mateos.
Today there are six levels scheduled starting at 12pm. As usual there will be a 15-minute break after each 90-minute level, and a 60-minute dinner break after the completion of the fourth level of play (~19:00)
Livestreaming of today's Main Event will start after the dinner break on Twitch, and PokerNews will be bringing you live updates until the players bag up at the end of tonight.
