Sinclair and Farrell Lose A Bit

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Three players saw a {J-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop with Milos Skrbic first to act from the big blind. He checked, as did Ivan Gabrieli, and Jack Sinclair bet 55,000. Skrbic check-raised to 176,000, Gabrieli folded, and Sinclair called.

The turn brought the {6-Diamonds} and Skrbic shoved all in for around 400,000. Sinclair didn't commit the calling chips and gave it up.

At the subsequent table, Niall Farrell was in the small blind and involved in what was presumably a three-bet pot against Norbert Szecsi, who won his second WSOP bracelet earlier this series. Farrell bet 175,000 on a {J-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop and Szesci called. Both players checked the {4-Hearts} on the turn.

The river was the {10-Clubs} and Farrell instantly released when Szesci bet 350,000.

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Julian Thomas
Julian Thomas

Liwei Sun opened to 42,000 in middle position and Julian Thomas shoved all in on his left for 221,000. Vladimir Troyanovskiy was in the big blind and moved all in over the top for around 410,000. Sun quickly got out of the way and the cards were on their backs.

Vladimir Troyanovskiy: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Julian Thomas: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

There was the {q-Hearts} in the window but was quickly followed by the {k-Spades} and {3-Clubs}. The turn brought the {7-Diamonds} and Thomas was left drawing to one of two queens in the deck. The river was the {8-Hearts} and Thomas was eliminated within the first couple hands of the day.

Michael Sklenicka
Michael Sklenicka

Shortly before play started, Michael Sklenicka was joking with Ryan Riess about how the latter was going to double him up.

On the very first hand, Sklenicka opened from the hijack. "It's time for the double!" he said, as it folded to Ryan Riess in the big blind who then three-bet all in from the big blind. Sklenicka called.

Ryan Riess: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Michael Sklenicka: {q-}{q-}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and Riess sent Sklenicka to the rail.

"That's a pretty sick hand," said tablemate Allen Kessler.

"Some things are just meant to be, Allen" said Riess, who extended his chip lead.
