Saliou Shoves

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Kalidou Sow raised to 2,600 from the early position and was called by Milan Simko in the hijack and Frank Debus and Jerome Saliou in the blinds.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades}, both Debus and Saliou checked, Sow continued with a bet of 3,600. Simko called, Debus folded and Saliou shoved. Sow glanced at Saliou and then folded. Simko asked for a count, the dealer confirmed Saliou had 33,200 behind. Simko looked at his cards once more before shaking his head and folding them.

Magalashvili Takes Over the Lead

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Michael Magalashvili
Michael Magalashvili

Danny Covyn opened to 2,500 from middle position and Michael Magalashvili called on his direct left along with two other players. The flop came {k-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} and the action checked to Magalashvili who bet 3,700. Covyn was the only player to call and the {k-Spades} landed on the turn.

Covyn check-called another bet of 7,300 from Magalashvili and the {2-Clubs} double-paired the board on the river. Covyn checked one more time and Magalashvili leaned back in his seat before unloading a bet of 16,500. Covyn gave it some thought but decided to pay him off in the end, as Magalashvili turned over {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for a full house.

'ElkY' Sits Down with a Bang

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier just took his seat at Table 100 and it didn't take long for him to get involved in the action. On a flop of {7-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, Grospellier and Tolga Kiyak got all of their chips in the middle.

Grospellier tabled {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} while Kiyak showed {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. The {a-Diamonds} on the turn gave Kiyak a flush draw to go with his overcards but the {7-Hearts} on the river only improved Grospellier's hand to three-of-a-kind. Grospellier had the larger stack and Kiyak headed to the rail.

Magalashvili Climbing Up

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Michael Magalashvili has doubled up and was kind enough to relate what had happened:

Danny Covyn raised to 2,000 from the hijack, Magalashvili called in the cutoff. Tobias Peters did the same on the button but Vasile Strugari three-bet to 12,100 from the big blind. Covyn called, Magalashvili shoved for 53,000 and Peters quickly got out of the way. Strugari tanked and then also shoved for 80,000 in total. Covyn gave up on this hand.

Michael Magalashvili: {a-}{k-}
Vasile Strugari: {a-}{j-}

The board ran out {10-}{9-}{2-}{7-}{2-} for Magalashvili to secure the more than double-up with the higher kicker in his hand.

Obreshkov Doubles Up

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Stoyan Obreshkov just doubled up for 8,400 through Raul Henriquez when he shoved on the {8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop with {10-Spades}{8-Spades}. Henriquez held {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} and the rest of the board was completed with the {k-Spades} on the turn and the {q-Diamonds} on the river.

Obreshkov shoved again from the small blind the hand after but got no call from the player on the button after he had raised.

Rezaei Doesn't Shy Away

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a flop of {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, Nicolai Kett checked from the big blind and Daniel Rezaei bet 2,000 from under the gun. Kett check-raised to 6,000 but Rezaei still called.

The {j-Hearts} landed on the turn and Kett checked again. The first check-raise didn't phase Rezaei as he fired out another bet of 7,000. Kett just called this time and the {2-Hearts} hit the river. Kett checked again and Rezaei moved all in for 16,200. Kett briefly thought about it and then slid his cards to the muck.
