Tsang Toasted by Margolin

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Anson Tsang
Anson Tsang

Anson Tsang raised to 50,000 from the cutoff and Timur Margolin three-bet to 175,000 from the small blind. Tsang shoved for around 30 big blinds and Margolin called,

Anson Tsang: {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Timur Margolin: {A-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

The flop came {7-Hearts}{j-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for Margolin to hit a jack.

The turn was the {a-Diamonds} for Margolin to hit two pair and leave Tsang drawing dead. The {3-Hearts} on the river was just a formality as he was sent to the payout desk in 19th place.

Yang Zhang
Yang Zhang

Luiz Antonio Duarte Ferreira Filho raised to 55,000 in early position and Yang Zhang three-bet to 160,000 from the small blind. Filho just called and the flop came {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Zhang led out for 135,000 and Filho called to see the {j-Clubs} on the turn.

Zhang fired another 340,000 and Filho went into the tank before making the call. The {5-Diamonds} landed on the river and Zhang shipped all in for his last 450,000. Filho snap-called and Zhang wasn't happy about it.

"Oh no," Zhang said as he turned over {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. Filho tabled {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for a set of jacks which set Zhang to the payout desk in 18th place.

Ferreira Had One Foot Out the Door

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Luiz Ferreira raised to 70,000 from the cutoff and Amar Begovic defended from the big blind. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Begovic checked to Ferreira who continued for 60,000. Begovic check-raised to 185,000 and Ferreira called.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and Begovic announced all which prompted a snap-call by Ferreira for his last 285,000 chips. Begovic tabled {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for two pair while Ferreira held {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}. The river was the {3-Clubs} and Ferreira stood up to leave before the table informed him that he actually won the hand.

Szunyoghy Loses the Minimum

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Luiz Antonio Duarte Ferreira Filho raised to 50,000 from the hijack and was called by Tamas Szunyoghy on the button and Timur Margolin in the big blind.

The flop came {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, Margolin checked, Ferreira Filho continued with a bet of 55,000 and only Szunyoghy called.

They both checked through the {a-Hearts} on the turn to the {9-Spades} on the river. Ferreira Filho bet 130 and Szunyoghy just called with {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for the flopped two pair. Ferreira Filho showed {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} for the turned set of aces to scoop the pot.

Christian Thiry: {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Raul Henriquez: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}

The action folded to Danny Covyn in the cutoff who moved all in for around 450,000. Tamas Szunyoghy was on the button and also pushed all in for over 800,000. The blinds folded and the remaining two hands were tabled.

Tamas Szunyoghy: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Danny Covyn: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}

Szunyoghy was well ahead with his pocket jacks and the flop of {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs} never changed anything. The {3-Hearts} landed on the turn and Covyn was looking for an ace. The {q-Spades} completed the board and Covyn was eliminated in 16th place.
