Luo's Broadway Overpowers Fahrer's Set

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Rene Fahrer opened to 10,000 from early position and Xixiang Luo announced all in for 95,000 in the cutoff. The action was back on Fahrer who asked for a count and sat in thought for over a minute. Luo leaned back in his chair and played with his headphones while he waited for Fahrer to finally call.

Xixiang Luo: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Rene Fahrer: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The flop came {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts} giving Fahrer a set of tens and Luo a pair with a straight draw. The {k-Spades} on the turn improved Luo to a straight and the {4-Spades} on the river did not pair the board for Fahrer. Luo scored a double up, leaving Fahrerwith less than one big blind who would go on to bust just a couple of hands later.

Tables Changed to 9-Handed

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

At the start of the day, all of the tables were set up for 8-handed play as was the seat draw. However, after some brief discussion among the tournament staff, one chair has been added to each of the tables to accommodate for 9-handed play. As such, some tables have already been broken and players have been moved.

Begovic Wins Some

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Amar Begovic won the WSOP Circuit Main Event earlier this year here in Rozvadov in March and is looking for another big win.

The board read {5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{5-Clubs} with around 55,000 in the middle already. Yang Zhang had checked his small blind and Begovic bet 17,500 from the big blind. Zhang tanked but ended up calling.

The river completed the board with the {8-Diamonds} and they both checked. Zhang tabled {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} but Begovic picked up the pot with {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for two pair, aces and fives.

Michael Vonmoos raised it up to 10,500 from middle position and Anthony Zinno stuck in a three-bet to 37,000. Vonmoos thought for a minute before shipping all in for 75,500. Zinno quickly called and was in a dominating position heading to the flop.
