Szunyoghy Catches Obreshkov's Bluff

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The break had already started and the board read {8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} with 260,000 in the middle already.

Stoyan Obreshkov shoved from the mid-position with the bigger stack and Tamas Szunyoghy tanked in the late position. Six minutes into the break, Obreshkov called the clock on him. The floor gave Szunyoghy 30 seconds and while counting down, Szunyoghy made the call. Obreshkov abruptly got up from his chair and walked off before seeing Szunyoghy's cards.

Obreskhov held {6-Spades}{5-Spades} for the bluff and Szunyoghy doubled up for 291,000 with {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

Covyn On the Rise

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The action folded to Vojtech Ruzicka in the small blind and he shipped all in for his last 126,000. Danny Covyn was in the big blind and gave it some thought before making the call.

Ruzicka tabled {k-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Covyn was dominating with {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. The flop of {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts} left Covyn in the lead and the {a-Diamonds} on the turn ended any chances of Ruzicka coming from behind.

Just a couple of hands later, Matous Houzvicek raised to 22,000 in the hijack and Covyn called from the cutoff. The flop fell {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Houzvicek led out for 34,000. Covyn raised to 75,000 and Houzvicek called to see the {4-Spades} on the turn.

Houzvicek checked this time and Covyn pushed all in for 253,000. Houzvicek thought briefly but quickly decided to let go of his hand.

Peisert Pushes Saitta Out

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Jorg Peisert raised from mid-position and action folded to Riccardo Saitta in the big blind who shoved for 83,000. Peisert made the call.

Riccardo Saitta: {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Jorg Peisert: {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The flop came {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Hearts} to give Saitta the pair of queens and Peisert the straight draw.

The straight came with the {8-Clubs} on the turn and now only a jack could save Saitta's tournament life but the {5-Clubs} on the river wasn't that and Saitta was sent to the payout desk to collect his cash.

Houzvicek Shoves on Covyn

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Asher Assis raised to 20,000 from mid-position and Matous Houzvicek three-bet to 60,000 on the button. Danny Covyn was sitting in the small blind and four-bet to 125,000. Assis contemplated for a while but opted to fold. Houzvicek shoved immediately and Covyn stared at him. He asked for a count and the dealer confirmed Houzvicek held 421,000 in total. Covyn considered his options for a bit longer and then reluctantly folded.

"Folded kings?" Houzvicek asked Covyn.

"No! Kings, I'd snap-call," Covyn replied.

"Queens?" Houzvicek asked.

"No..." Covyn said.

Szunyoghy Wins the Battle of the Blinds

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The action folded to Tamas Szunyoghy in the small blind who just limped in. Henrik Brockmann raised to 30,000 out of the big blind and Szunyoghy called. The flop came {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Szunyoghy check-called a bet of 27,000 from Brockmann.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {4-Clubs} on the river. Szunyoghy led out for 47,000 this time and Brockmann tanked for a bit before making the call. Szunyoghy turned over {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and that was good enough to take down the pot.

Walker Doubles Through Assis

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

There was no action in front of James Walker who was in the small blind and he decided to shove all in for 147,000. Asher Assis quickly called after looking down at his cards in the big blind and held a huge advantage.

James Walker: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Asher Assis: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The flop came {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Walker turned the tables by flopping trip jacks. The {8-Hearts} on the turn sealed the deal and the {2-Hearts} on the river was just a formality.

Dalberg Doubles Through Kastle

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Casey Kastle had raised from the cutoff, Richard Dalberg shoved in the big blind for 128,000, and Kastle called.

Richard Dalberg: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Casey Kastle: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The flop came {3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts} for Dalberg to hit a set of nines immediately. The situation didn't change when the {4-Hearts} came on the turn and the {4-Spades} on the river. Dalberg only improved to a full house to double up.
