Pisarenko Eliminated by Hellmuth

Level 13 : 10,000/25,000, 35,000 ante
Maksim Pisarenko
Maksim Pisarenko

No-Limit Hold'em

Daniel Negreanu raised to 60,000 and Ryan Riess called in the big blind. He check-folded to a bet of 60,000 on the {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop.

One hand later, Phil Hellmuth opened to 75,000 and Thomer Pidun in the cutoff three-bet to 200,000, which Hellmuth called. The flop brought {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Hellmuth check-raised from 150,000 to 325,000 in order to win the pot.

Hellmuth raised to 75,000 once more and Maksim Pisarenko shoved for 270,000 in the small blind. Hellmuth called after some consideration and the cards were turned over.

Maksim Pisarenko: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Phil Hellmuth: {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

The {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop brought no surprise yet but Hellmuth picked up a gutshot on the {4-Spades} turn. It was the {5-Clubs} river that ended his run as Hellmuth improved to a pair of fives. Both shook hands and Pisarenko then quickly left the tournament area.

Glaser Eliminates Baker and Blom

Level 13 : 10,000/25,000, 35,000 ante

Limit Hold'em

On a board reading {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, David "ODB" Baker was all in for his last 435,000. He was up against Benny Glaser who found the magical turn card. Baker held {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for two pair while Glaser had {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a straight. The river was the {3-Spades} and Baker was eliminated.

A couple of hands later, Viktor Blom found himself all in for around 250,000 and was up against Glaser. Blom held two live cards with {k-Clubs}{j-Spades} against Glaser's {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. However, the flop of {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} left Blom drawing slim. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn left Blom drawing dead to the {2-Spades} on the river.

Level 14 : 15,000/30,000, 45,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Sam Higgs doubled through Alex Livingston as his {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} held up on a board of {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, while the cards of Livingston were already mucked.

"I guess I should fold there," Livingston said after he had three-bet an open raise by Phil Hui and called the shove of Higgs with jack-ten.

Chen Leaves the Table Confused

Level 14 : 15,000/30,000, 45,000 ante

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Oleg Pavlyuchuk: {x-}{x-} / {7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{a-Spades} / {x-}
George Danzer: {x-}{x-} / {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} / {x-}
James Chen: {x-}{x-} / {j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Spades} / {x-}

Oleg Pavlyuchuk was the bring-in and George Danzer along with James Chen just called. Danzer had the betting lead on fourth and was called by Chen and Pavlyuchuk.

Pavlyuchuk paired up on fifth and led out. Danzer and Chen both just called. On sixth, Pavlyuchuk moved all in for his last 15,000. Danzer and Chen just called again.

On seventh, Danzer tossed in a bet and Chen went into the tank for over a minute before just flicking in a call. Pavlyuchuk showed {j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for two pair and Danzer only had a pair of fives for the side pot. Chen rolled over {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts} for a straight and the table was left wondering where the raise was. No player had a low hand and Chen scooped everything.
