Campbell Busts Before the Money

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Robert Campbell
Robert Campbell

Robert Campbell once built his stack up to around 200,000 chips but things turned around ever since. Going into the final three tables, Campbell was down to around 100,000 and he just saw it all disappear.

A completed board of {8-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} was spread across the felt and Campbell checked from the big blind. Josef Snejberg announced all in from under the gun into a pot of around 65,000. Campbell had around 35,000 chips remaining and went into the tank before calling it off.

Snejberg tabled {a-Spades}{9-Spades} for the nut flush while Campbell was forced to show {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. With that, Campbell will fall short of a min-cash and fail to add any Player of the Year points to his total on Day 1d. He is currently in line to register for the night flight and another chance.
