"Lucky" Bensimhon Busts Negreanu Again

Level 14 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Eyal Bensimhon, Daniel Negreanu
Eyal Bensimhon, Daniel Negreanu

[Removed:321] Mahmoodi opened and Eyal Bensimhon, as well as Daniel Negreanu, called in the blinds.

Things heated on the flop {7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. It checked to Mahmoodi who bet 5,500 and Bensimhon called before Negreanu pushed all-in for 35,000. Mahmoodi tanked before calling and Bensimhon tossed a pile of 5,000 chips in front of him, signifying a raise tà 106,500. Mahmoodi ended up folding, showing {a-}{10-Spades}.

Daniel Negreanu: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Eyal Bensimhon: {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

Negreanu held two pair while Bensimhon had the straight draw. "Jack on the turn, I'm very lucky!" warned Bensimhon, right before the {j-Spades} hit the turn. "You really are very lucky!" replied Negreanu laughing.

The {3-Diamonds} completed the board and the players shook their hands before Negreanu left the tournament area, busted one more time by Bensimhon after his elimination from the main event.

Ace-High for Volcovschi

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Diana Volcovschi
Diana Volcovschi

Diana Volcovschi opened to 4,500 and it was called by Thomas Schulze on the button and Chris Ferguson in the big blind.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} and it checked to Schulze who bet 11,000. Ferguson folded but Volcovschi made the call after some thinking.

The rest of the board was checked throughout the {4-Clubs} turn and {q-Clubs} river and Volcovschi tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for ace-high, which was good enough to make Schulze muck his cards.

Mahmoodi Sends Schneider Out

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

[Removed:321] Mahmoodi opened and it folded to Marc Schneider who sent his last 16,000 in the middle in the small blind. Mahmoodi eventually called.

Schneider held {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and was against {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for Mahmoodi for a flip. The board brought {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, improving Mahmoodi 's hand into to pair to eliminate Schneider.

Ioli Doubles Through Sancak on the River

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

In a blind versus blind situation, all the chips went in the middle between Mark Ioli, at risk for his last 22,300, and Ersin Sancak.

Ioli held {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and was facing {7-Clubs}{7-Spades} in Sancak's hand for a typical flip. The dealer fanned a board {9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, giving a pair of tens to Ioli on the river. Sancak was left with 6,000 chips after that hand and busted a few hands later.
