Chen Hits the Ground Running

Level 2 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

James Chen just took his seat to the left of Alex Foxen and the two players quickly got involved in a three-bet pot. The dealer fanned the flop of {q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Foxen check-called a bet of 125,000 from Chen.

The turn was the {9-Hearts} and Foxen checked again. Chen tossed in another bet of 250,000 and Foxen quickly called. The river was the {4-Clubs} and both players knuckled the table. Chen flipped over {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Foxen was unable to beat it.

Level 2 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

In a battle cutoff versus big blind, Christoph Vogelsang faced a check-raise on the {8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop as Koray Aldemir had made it 125,000 to go. Vogelsang tossed in calling chips and they headed to the {6-Clubs} turn on which Aldemir bet 400,000, Vogelsang called.

After the {6-Spades} river, Aldemir used one time bank extension and bet 385,000. Vogelsang eventually raised to 3.1 million with 585,000 behind and hid his face behind the hands in order to not give away any reaction.

Aldemir eventually gave up the pot and Vogelsang climbed back above the starting stack.
